True to her German heritage, Suzanne is a meticulous and thorough inspector. We've used Suzanne for initial & subsequent home inspections and can't say enough good things. She caught multiple, critical faults in initial inspections and quickly and effectively triangulated the cause of problems we incurred after living in the home for almost a year. I would recommend Suzanne without hesitation to any new or repeat home buyers.

The inspection went extremely well. Suzanne did a very thorough inspection that allowed me to prioritize necessary maintenance items, and also put my mind at ease on certain things I was worried about that aren’t really problems. She happily answered questions I had as we went through the house, and she also asked me questions that revealed some things I need to be concerned about. She was very professional and very personable.

We have bought many properties, so inspections are not new to us. I have often questioned the value of inspections done, to the extent that I had considered not doing an inspection on this property. With Suzanne we got so much more value than we ever anticipated. Coming from a Civil Engineering background, she has loads or expertise, is incredibly thorough, gave us lots of advice I would not have typically got from an inspector and is a pleasure to work with. You dont feel rushed as a client and although she gives you a full report later that day (one of the things I like), by the time she has left your property, you already know everything about the inspection, what she found and her recommendations. I would use her again in a heartbeat

I booked Suzanne for a house under contract and I was lucky to find her available the next day. Suzanne arrived early -- I had showed up 1/2 hour ahead of the appointment to get some "alone time" with the house, but she was already there, unloading ladders from her truck. We began the inspection as soon as my agent arrived. Suzanne progressed around the exterior and then interior of the home in a methodical sequence, taking photographs and explaining to me the findings in real time. She tested every outlet, faucet, and moving part. As it was new construction, the majority of the findings were related to incomplete work, missing sealant, or incorrectly installed flashing or appliances, but there were also some more significant findings around proper drainage for the lot, a sloped floor issue that I had missed on viewing, and safety parameters like proper support for an exterior staircase. She showed me the foundation bolts (nice to see with your own eyes) and acknowledged what looked good, such as the breaker panel wiring and wire gauge adequacy (though she pointed out that there was only one remaining open slot). She climbed up onto the second story roof to document the roof condition. Suzanne has digital sewer scope equipment and gave me the option, letting me know that newly installed sewers rarely have problems, but I wanted to know of any potential installation/setup issues such as bellies caused by aggressive infill. Suzanne is a civil and structural engineer by training and demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of home maintenance, so as a first-time home owner I benefited from her advice on what should be done for upkeep, e.g. gutters, caulking, etc. In terms of professional presence, she is cheerful, quick, and precise. She brought along snacks and water to help mitigate potential stress. Our inspection took 4 hours including the sewer scope, but I can't imagine doing a thorough job in less time. I received a PDF 61-page report by email the next day, which illustrated all findings clearly with inline photographs. I will also receive by priority mail a hard copy of the report plus thumb drive of the photos and sewer video. I gave a "B" for price because there are some inspectors who charge less, but I personally would not risk missing something to save $50. I went with Suzanne based on the strength of her Yelp reviews, and would definitely use her again.
