Galen and Seattle Superior Waterproofing were terrific. Called me back the same day I reached out. Came on time the day when he said he was going to for a consultation and quote. Was very knowledgeable about our problem. He was able to schedule us in fairly quickly. He came with his team the morning when the work was to be completed and completed in the time he said it would take him. He installed a french drain in the unfinished basement with a pump. Cleaned up afterward. His estimate was clear and was what we ended up paying. I would strongly recommend Seattle Superior Waterproofing.

My basement flooded recently. I searched Angies list and got three waterproof companies to come and give me the solution and cost. Galen (owner of Seattle Superior Waterproofing) is very knowledgeable of basement water issues, he thoroughly surveyed my basement inside and outside. Galen provided a comprehensive solution which makes sense to me. I have done my own research and homework. I felt that Galen’s solution is sound and cost estimate is honest. I decided to go with Seattle’s Superior Waterproofing. Galen’s team is on time and very professional. They dig and installed interior drainage system and a pump with battery-backup. They worked carefully with my basement walls and furniture since it is finished basement. They clean up after the work and removed all dirty and restored areas. I am very pleased with their work and will recommend to anyone has wet basement problem.

They did a great job. They were always on time and worked around any schedule issues. They were able to give me an estimate sooner than I had expected and offered several options for the problem. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. They answered all my questions and finished the project early! I would definitely recommend them and if needed – use them again.

I talked to him about alternatives and he explained how a French drain would work best. His crew arrived on time and sealed the basement to minimize dust entering the rest of the house. He also worked with me to eliminate a leak coming in through the basement door but draining the landing leading down from the outside. Once the fall rains saturated the ground I noticed there was still a little leaking. Galen came out promptly and sealed up the last of the leak and things have been dry ever since. Excellent work all around. I’m very happy with their work.

Great. The basement has been completely dry during this really rainy Seattle fall, and the work looks very professional. They were very pleasant to work with.

Seattle just had 3" of rainfall in the last 72 hours and I have never been happier. Normally, this kind of event would have resulted in significant water in through the old footings of my 1928 basement, and I couldn't be happier with the results of Galen's recent waterproofing job. 
Price: The job took four days to complete, including jack hammering the floor, laying the drainage system, and pouring concrete to return the floor to level. Galen was on site each day, though two of his crew members did much of the work.  The price was fair for the amount of time and expertise, and certainly a good value considering the results. 
Quality: Again, the results are a clean, dry, basement - exactly what I needed. In one of the rooms, the footings are even with the wall, which left a bit of the drainage fabric sticking up through the floor. This could have been a cosmetic issue, but its in a storage room, so no big deal. Galen took the time to explain why and answer my questions about this very minor appearance issue.
Responsiveness: I scheduled specific dates very far in advance, and he followed through with the commitment. I had a few questions in advance, and he always responded within 24 hours. 
Punctuality: Perfect. I was picky about dates and time due to a busy schedule and the crew was great. They worked about 8 to 4 each day to get the job done.
Professionalism: Great. Really polite crew and always checked in to say the basement had been swept and windows locked before the left each day.

When I told him I had no problems so far he told me that there was no need to worry. He would have left if I had not asked him to walk around.

Galen took my phone call requesting a bid for a basement wall leak.  After my description he advised me of how to set up my own water test to pinpoint the problem.  I was reluctant but followed his suggestions and found that the water entry point was a simple fix that even I (a 70 year old woman) could do myself!  I had missed it trying to do my own inspection the day before. 
Galen was professional and saved me time and money getting bids and possibly paying for something I didn't need to have done.
He even offered to stop by on his way from another job and take a look at the situation.
This is the type of company that I will not forget, and this company has my business if ever I need a serious problem fixed.

They were supposed to come out and evaluate. His solutions didn't seem to fit my problems and I felt that he was not very professional.

Galen called to let me know that he was running ahead of schedule- he came early and spent 20 minutes inspecting the crawlspace and exterior of my house. He provided information on updating the vapor barrier but also noted that it met code and did not require urgent updating.  He noted a single drain in my backyard that could use a mesh vent to prevent leaves from clogging it.  This was well worth the $49 for the peace of mind knowing that my foundation was in great shape!
