We had an all-around excellent experience with Seattle Style Flooring when replacing old carpeting on the entire lower level (including the stairs) of my elderly mother’s home in Ballard. Scott is quite knowledgeable about his products and took the time to educate us about the different choices in carpet materials with their various pros & cons. Over the course of several weeks, he was helpful and patient as we worked through the process of figuring out how to balance our priorities of durability, aesthetics, and price point. He readily accommodated our scheduling preference when coming out to the house to take measurements, and once we had made or decisions, the process progressed quickly and smoothly. Communication was good via phone and email, and Scott called the day prior to the scheduled install to confirm and verify approximate start time. Our install team, Raul and Johnny were terrific. Raul called to give a heads up 15 minutes before arriving, which was appreciated. They got right to work, were friendly, courteous and very professional. There were several heavy pieces of furniture that had to be shifted around in order to lay the carpet, which they managed handily, and they made sure to move them back into place once the carpet was in. They actually got the job done more quickly than we had expected, and they cleaned up nicely when finished. The new carpet looks great, and my mother is quite happy with it. I also want to mention that we did some comparison shopping and got estimates from a couple of other companies, but in terms of the knowledge/helpfulness of sales person, having experienced and reliable installers, good communication, ease of scheduling, and competitive pricing, Seattle Style Flooring was the best. We are always glad to support a local business and will definitely recommend this company to others!

Start to finish, a great experience.

I just had a carpet runner installed in my house on a staircase and am extremely pleased by the work that Scott and his expert installer Harry at Seattle Style Flooring have done. Scott was extremely responsive, walked me through the bewildering array of flooring options, and helped me select a carpet option that would be best for my family (including a giant dog) in a color I just love. He then came out, took initial measurements, and ordered the carpet. Let me just note that my house, built in 1939, has a tight staircase to the upper floor with EIGHT pie-shaped wedges (all of which are shaped differently and of different widths), which is both unusual and technically challenging when it comes to carpet, and particularly carpet runners. Harry came out twice - the first time to take meticulous measurements of each stair and riser, and after the individual pieces arrived from the surfer, he essentially performed surgery, pieced it all together into one continuous run, and ensured it was seamless, flowed beautifully, and looked absolutely perfect. The carpet looks and feels wonderful. I would highly recommend Seattle Style Flooring to anyone looking for gorgeous flooring.
