The window pane was fixed, however the price I believe was very excessive for travel expenses.

fabulous!! Jack arrived on time. was very knowledgeable with old homes. He went right to work, was able to cleanly save the trim removed the glass and placed a clear piece until my glass is repaired. He was very helpful at talking about storms and old window repair.

Not only did they do the work mentioned, they did extra work like removing old broken window hardware and replacing old rusted hinges. Everything fits and operates like new. I have used this company, and Jack specifically, over the past 15 years as we restore our 1931 home. He has always been patient, thoughtful and creative in addressing our window related problems. He understands old homes and appreciates those of us that want to restore them correctly. I only wish this company offered services beyond their current offerings. I would use them for everything they do.

They repaired a leaded glass pane in our front door. They
were friendly and casual and gave me a verbal estimate of 250.00, so I
had them do the work. After a few weeks went by with no response form them, I
started to get nervous because I had no paperwork that they’d even taken the
window. I called and they said they’d tried to call me a week or so before (but
I’d gotten no call or VM) and that I needed to pay before they would come reinstall
the window. I paid the balance by credit card (280.00) and scheduled a time for
them to come back and reinstall the window. A week after installation I
received another bill of 82.00. I called to let them know I’d already paid my account
and they said this bill was for labor. I told them that I’d gotten an estimate of
250.00 and that I was frustrated by this surprise amount, which now put me
110.00 over the 250.00 they’d stated. I was told that it was their word against
mine and that I had no written proof of the 250.00. It is true that I was swept
up by their friendly casualness and didn’t get a written estimate because I trusted
them. The work looks fine, but I wouldn’t use them again because of lack of transparency
in pricing and lack of professionalism in not giving me a written estimate or accurate verbal estimate.

They were friendly on the phone and were able to have someone come out within a couple of days to look at the work and give us a bid. The next week Jack came out and did the work. He was experienced, careful and efficient. We were paying him by the hour so it was great to see how fast he got the work done. We are extremely pleased with the results.

Do you how hard it is to find a glazer who can fix leaded glass windows? I feared I'd have to have the sashes removed and taken to shop somewhere, at who knows what cost! Thankfully, Seattle Stained Glass was able to come out and replace all four missing or broken panes, on site, in less than two hours. They have very efficient scheduling, and although the hourly rate ($75) may seem high, I think I got terrific value. Very efficient and professional service as well.

THESE FOLKS ARE ARTISTS AND FINE CRAFTSPEOPLE. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS WONDERFUL, THE COMMUNICATION AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE OFFICE WAS EFFICIENT AND COMPLETE. THE ONLY PLACE I WOULD GO TO HAVE WINDOWS OF UNIQUE DESIGN MADE.
