The quote was so poor the final bill was double. Not experienced in moving any valuables (no crates) TV, Art etc..

My pack and move occurred on separate days and billed as different jobs. All work was completed fully and without any damage. There were miscommunication/misunderstandings that created day-of inefficiencies and the need for a discount to the service, which Eco provided readily. First, there was honest miscommunication around the packing materials. I believed I had ordered the eco-friendly move package but the packers arrived with cardboard boxes which are about twice the cost of the eco friendly boxes, and obviously much less eco-friendly. The rep who completed the ordered signed me up for a "standard one-bedroom pack" - which meant different things to each of us. The pack went okay but, I learned later it was not done fully, on the scheduled pack day, by the 2-person crew. (Not understanding myself that an optimal pack would end with everything wrapped and ready for load into the truck, including art, furniture, etc) I should note that my pack happened one day and the move happened two days later. I pre-packed everything but the kitchen, some delicate art, wall art, big furniture and some elements of the master closet. Those who showed on move day were surprised at how much was unprepared for loading into the move truck. The lead on my move spent much of his time wrapping and prepping pieces for load into the truck. This left only two men to load the truck. Hence the inefficiency. I personally physically assisted with the load and unload of the truck in order to complete the job within the window of time I had on both ends of the move. I was an equal contributor at both ends of the move which is the toughest piece to accept when I also look at the price tag. The leader of on move day was very professional, communicative and instilled a great deal of confidence. One of my 3-man crew moved at a casual pace. The other two men, along with I, really hustled. In the end, even with discounts and my participation in the move, the final cost landed right around the high-end of the quote I was provided. That I needed to be so very involved in the move calls into question the value of the service in the end. Certainly everyone I spoke with was courteous, although response times were slow. Recommendations to others - 1. Make sure, if you use packing services, that your home is FULLY packed before the packers depart - disassembled and shrunk wrapped. 2. Make sure to over-communicate and clarify any vagueness. 3. Eco Movers charges for travel time from their offices. I would insist on a confirming and limiting that time. My costs included 1.25 hours ($143.75 or 11% of my total move expense.) for travel, from wherever the crew originated before arriving at my home. Though my move was unnecessarily stressful, and exhausting, I would consider using Eco Movers again, but would take care to heed my own advice here.

The 3 movers that came to the house were very efficient and friendly. It was a very long day and they worked continuously from 8:30am to 3:30am. It was way more work than any of us expected, but everything went smoothly.

Move went ok. Later found rips in a recliner. Movers notified me that they knocked the emergency exit sign down at the apt I was moving out of. The next day when I went to the old apt I saw that the exit sign was shattered all over the floor. I ended up having to pay over $100 for it out of my deposit. Other than that the guys were good and quick.

Very well. They were very professional and know exactly how to do the their job carefully and expediently. I would hire them again.

It was great.   They called to give notice that they were coming, arrived on time, and checked out what had to be done.   We have lots of exterior steps, as well as the furniture being on our 2nd floor, but they weren't phased by all those steps.   They moved the dresser first, no problem, then the smaller pieces.   They were careful, even carefully secured the pieces in the truck tho they were only going a few miles.   At my daughter's house, they moved everything in as carefully, putting them where we wanted them to go.
The two men were polite and very professional.    It was an all around good move!

After moving ourselves a few times over the last few years, we decided to hire a company to do the "heavy lifting" this time. After a few quotes we decided to use Seattle Movers and are glad we did. Tim and Bob were quick, keeping us within our quote timeframe, and had a great sense of humor too even after packing all of our stuff up 3 flights of stairs. Great to get the job done quick and without hassle.

We first used Seattle Movers in the fall of 2010 because we found them to be highly rated on Angie's List.  At that time they did a great job for us so when we were moving again this past month we decided to use them again - BIG MISTAKE.
In the beginning of the move one of the guys came in with a hand truck to get some boxes out of the kitchen.  He JAMMED the hand truck underneath the boxes, which were sitting on our brand new hardwood floor and scratched up all of the hardwood flooring.  It looked like a lion had scraped up our flooring or something, just awful.  My husband then told the guy when he noticed it and the guy tried saying that it was something underneath the boxes.  My husband said no, it was from when you jammed the hand truck underneath there and then the guy became visibly irritated.  My husband called the owner of the company who then proceeded to tell him that there was nothing they could do and they would not pay to repair it.  The rest of the move went awful, the guy who caused the damaged was a jerk to my husband the rest of the move.  The owner of Seattle Movers then came out to our home with a furniture pen and colored in the flooring - we had asked for them to pay to have the boards replaced (we already had the boards, they just would've had to pay for the labor) but they refused.  The furniture pen still showed the damage in the flooring.
We have to move again in November and we will not be using Seattle Movers.  If they had taken accountability for the damage they had caused and properly rectified the situation then I would have a different feeling.

The move went very well. I had used the previously to do an office move and it went ok, but they were a bit late. They did give me a percentage off to make up for their mistake. They showed up on time and hustled for five hours to move all my stuff. My only tip to anyone moving is if you have delicate items being moved, ask the guys to wash/wipe off their hands first so that dirt doesn't get transferred. I would definitely recommend them.

They showed up when I expected them to, and very efficiently loaded my things onto their truck. Everything was loaded, driven to my new place, and unloaded in about three hours. The two movers were cheerful and easy to deal with. No problems, nothing dropped or broken, and I would recommend them to anyone!

I used this mover to move my daughter in early Feb 2014.  This was our second time using this mover.  We chose them again after a great move experience with this company in 2012.  We requested an estimate online and received a quick response. They have a great online form to fill out to receive an estimate.  Based on the information I provided, they recommended  2 men and a truck. Keep in mind it is just an estimate.  You pay an hourly rate for 2 men and the truck. They do their best to estimate how many hours it will take.  Keep in mind that your actions can influence this.  Be prepared.  Don't still be packing boxes, and have stuff in their way, when they arrive.  If you are able, take apart beds and bed frames.  They can do this for you...but remember...this adds to your hourly time.
They arrived at the exact time they said they would.  The truck was clean and well prepared.  Lot's of moving blankets for protection and boxes to help pack loose items like pillows and cushions off the couch.  These guys hustled the whole time they were there while loading. Despite the consistent quick pace, they were also careful with the belongings.  After everything was loaded they drove directly to the new rental home. Unloading always seems to go much faster. Again they moved at a fast consistent pace. 
These guys were fast, efficient, and careful. You really can not ask for more than that when you are paying them an hourly rate.  When you go out to get estimates, you are going to find that they all charge the same hourly rate for 2 men and a truck.  What is really going to make the difference in cost is finding a company, like this, that will work as hard and fast as is reasonably possible. These guys do!

However the response we received was short and did not elaborate or offer a solution  to our specific needs. In fact, the response was in conflict with their business description and Seattle Movers does not offer storage.

We did not get a chance to use this mover, but feel their communication should have been better and at the very least, stand behind what they offer for services on Angie's List.

Mike was helpful when I called to ask questions. He called the day before to confirm the move. His team showed up on time, worked fast, were professional and didn't break anything. It was definitely money well spent and I would hire them again and recommend them to friends.

We had actually hired four men and two trucks.  When the three arrived, they explained that one person was unable to make it.  They worked intensely until they were done, which was a 7-hour day.  They only stopped working, for 10 minutes or less, when we bought them lunch.  They worked so hard and so fast, they started packing the things that we hadn't done yet.  They did the work of four people.  We were extremely impressed and would highly recommend this company.

The move went exceptionally well.  Email and phone communication prior to the move was responsive and professional.  We had a written estimate of costs prior to booking the move.  They were flexible with dates, and had a liberal "change date" policy without penalty (with sufficient advance notice).  The movers called the morning of the move and told us they would be about 15 minutes late due to organizing the truck.  I appreciated the call.  They arrived exactly when promised and got to work.  3 movers worked on our house and were professional, organized, and hard-working.  Once they - and the truck - arrived at the new house, they got right to work unpacking.  They were thoughtful and organized on the move-in.  We had a couple challenging pieces of furniture to get into the basement, and they were creative and determined to get the pieces in place.  In the end, the move (including travel time from Ballard to West Seattle) took less time than the estimate, and we were charged less accordingly.  Everyone was professional, cheerful, fun, and hard working, and made our day easy and smooth!

Setting up the move went very well, they were very helpful and accommodated me changing the date once. I even called to confirm my reservation for 3 movers and a truck the night before, and I was confirmed.  They showed up on time at 8am, but there were only 2 movers and a truck. They did charge me less per hour, so it might have actually ended up costing less, but I don't know for sure and would have appreciated a call to discuss my options beforehand. The guys who did come however were excellent and really hustled. There were a couple of small breakages, nothing to get upset about- and I take responsibility due to how they were packed. The only thing that turned out to be inconvenient was that not everything fit in the truck. I was told a 26ft truck would do a 2000 sq ft house. Mine was 1000 sq ft with a basement. Plus I moved many of the fragile items myself. They offered to come back for a second trip, but that would have cost a couple more hours just for a few things. So I had to make a couple extra trips in my car. Overall, I would give them a good rating.

They showed up on time. Were very fast and professional. Moved all of my items into my new place ahead of schedule and all in one piece. These guys are fantastic and I would reccomened them to anyone who is looking for movers.

This company was amazing. From start to finish, their service was perfect. They provided their bid quickly via their website, then called to follow up. Our move was scheduled easily. The movers arrived on time and did a thorough overview of the 4 bedroom house we were moving from, asked if we had any special needs or concerns, then began loading the trucks. They were so careful with our furniture, and were really quick and efficient. Every one of our movers had great attitudes, and were so positive and professional. We were moving from a 4 bedroom house to a new home-- both had lots of stairs, etc, and never did they nick furniture or walls. We have moved 3 times in the past year, twice across the country with national moving companies, and Seattle Movers were head and shoulders above anyone else. I cannot recommend their service highly enough-- they are terrific.

The three guys arrived promptly and quickly loaded the contents of my house into their truck. They moved all of my large furniture plus about 20 boxes, as I had moved everything else over on my own. After unloading it all into the townhouse, they cheerfully carried a few more large, bulky items up into the house that I had stored in the garage. The only aspect that was less than satisfying was that when moving a large armoire, they scraped it on a banister which caused some paint to transfer from the banister to the armoire. Rather than cleaning it up, the guy just told me it would be easy for me to do.
