Craig and his crew was great to work with. They paid attention to detail and made my floors look amazing. Some hidden surprises came up when we took out the carpet and they knew exactly what to do to make it look great. I would recommend them to anyone!

They came will we were gone (we needed to move out). They did the job faster than expected. They were professional and communicated well on their progress. Craig, the owner, came out before hand to show me the different finishing options. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They also left wood floor cleaner and felt furniture pads. The floors look great.

Did excellent work. Flooring was replaced  in a few sections and blend in so well that no one can tell what is 1925 original and what is 2014 replacement.

Their work was sloppy and they tried to bait n' switch to cover their poor work.  I thought the price as fair until they poorly did the job that I now have to get redone.  They did not care about the mistakes they made and tried to charge me more to fix their mistakes.  They also caused damage to my house and wanted to charge me to repair it, I do not trust them.  I would not recommend this company.

During the estimate appt, Craig brought out large samples (3x3') to really help decide on which stains to use, which was very helpful. He also listened to what my needs were and made recommendations to not replace boards (which another company had wanted to do)., and which stains to consider. He was patient, friendly and answered all of my questions.
Work was completed within time frame and was completed ahead of schedule. They even did a few extras for me, like installing a matching molding around the fireplace floor (to help cover up carpet glue and prevent injured toes!).

One of two bids we sought. We went with the more local business since the bids were pretty close. Seattle Floor Service were completely professional and responsive. We asked some questions by email and got quick replies. The process was carefully explained to us and the job was done within the timeline provided at the outset. We were very pleased indeed with the quality of the work performed. We already had Swedish finish oak floors for the rest of that level of the house, and even though these were done using a different process, the color of the newly finished floors with three coats of finish were highly compatible with the old. A very professional job.

They did a great job - they showed up on time, did good work, and really seemed to know their stuff.    Their bid was in line with bids I got from other companies.
As is true with most companies like this, the person that comes out to bid on the job isn't the one that does the job, they have a different crew come out to work on your house.  But the work crew was good and professional, and the original person that did the bid kept in communication with me frequently to update me on what was happening.
Floors look great now, I'd recommend these guys.

We just bought the house and decided to refinish the red oak floors before completely moving in. Craig came to do the estimate the day after I called and delivered the estimate by end of day. The price was great and we discussed various options. A new estimate came the next day, he was able to start the project the next week.
The work team showed up promptly on the start day. We weren't around much as we stayed at our old place to finish packing and to avoid the smell. When we came back to take a look the night they finished, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the floors were--they looked brand new and were a beautiful honey color. And they did a great job with the dust and clean up.

Took a little prompting to get the bid in hand, but otherwise very professional, prompt, and as much as possible, dust free.

The owner, Craig Munson, estimated 6 days to complete and it only took 4.  Craig was also very patient with all my questions during the bid process as I had several companies bid and wanted to be sure I understood what they were providing for the cost.  They were very competitive.  Once I made the decision to use Seattle Floor Service they began the project within days.  I was amazed when I dropped by at the end of their first day on site to find the carpet removed, all the rooms sanded and filler applied.  They did a great job throughout the house.  The floor looks fabulous. There was minimal dust afterwards.  They were very professional, clearly skilled at their trade and you will not regret using this company.  Thanks Craig for a job well done!

After selecting the type of wood we wanted, delivery and acclimation went very quickly. The stain was spot on to our desired tone and color we were looking for. We had our finished hardwood flooring in no time!

The floor looks great and working with them was very easy. They were efficient and on time, everything went as they said it would, and we are very happy with the results. The floor is holding up, there are no issues or problems with it, the workers showed up on time, and they cleaned up after themselves.

I cannot believe the care these guys tool on this job and the absolute professionalism of the work. The old living room floor was badly in need of ref-finishing and it now looks gorgeous! The steps taken to restore this floor were: 1. Coarse sand 2. Fine sand 3. All floor nails were re-driven by hand with a punch and hammer (every single one!) 4. Cover with a caulking compound to fill nail holes and any cracks between the boards. 5. Another fine sand. 6. An ultra fine sand. 7. Stain to match adjoining newer kitchen floor (perfect match!) 8. Three coats of finish which were sanded between each coat. This floor now looks like a brand new floor. The kitchen floor was sanded and received 2 coats of new finish with a sanding in between. The attention to detail by this team is amazing. Where their sanding machine would not reach completely to edges they hand sanded and scraped right to the edge and into corners, and I mean right into the corners. And, this effort was repeated between re-coats. This company's representatives were prompt, polite and professional from the owner to the bottom. I would not hesitate the to use them again or to recommend them to anyone.

Amazing. We were told (by others) that this couldn't be done. But Seattle Floor did a near-perfect job in replicating and replacing the damaged or missing flooring, which meant that we did not have to replace the entire flooring in the two rooms. Bravo!

The work was adequate; not exceptional and not poor quality. The communication was good. The price was fair.

The estimator was punctual, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions. The work crew was diligent and dependable. The work was started and finished on time. No surprises or drama.

Estimator prompt and experienced. Mostly impressed with the work crew, these guys are what makes this company. Very skilled and very high quality work. He was honest about what extra work we needed and it was the right decision despite added cost.
