In remodeling a kitchen, I discovered the electrician didn't place the electrical outlets at the right height. What a dilemma. I was unable to use standard store bought counters with the 4" back splash. Outlets placed too low. What to do?
I called John at Seattle Counter-tops and asked him to come and take a look at my project. He came out and told me he could build custom counter tops with a custom height back-splash that would fit under the outlets. He was very professional and I could tell he was very good in his trade. Came up with some other great suggestions also and gave me a price that I thought was very fair. He invited me to his shop to look at some samples of the laminate and choose the design I liked.
It took him about a week to build the counters in his shop. He delivered and installed the counter tops the next day. Looks beautiful.
I would definately use Seattle Counter tops again.

Their quality of work is extremely good. They did a great job. They were very personable and I was comfortable with them in the home. I felt the price was reasonable. I wished I used them in the first place.

We got quotes from several major countertop companies but decided it was a worth a little extra cost to deal from the beginning with the person who would actually be doing the installation. John was superlatively knowledgeable and helpful as we went through the decision process and, although with no crews he is always juggling the needs of several projects, he worked with us to make sure the counters were installed in time to plumb the new kitchen sink before we absolutely needed a working kitchen. And he was a joy to work with: straightforward, reasonable, and considerate. He also had the widest array of samples we found anywhere; he built his reputation as a craftsman of laminate countertops, but he has considerable experience with other surfaces; various stones, quartz, solid surface, etc. He methodically walked us through the scores of decisions (edges everywhere, including the ends and tops of the backsplashes, around the range, etc.) and made sure we had the information we needed to decide and also that no aspect of the fabrication was left to chance. He fabricated the Daltile quartz countertop (we chose the slab), but the Corian countertop had to be fabricated elsewhere. When the Corian was done ahead of the fabricator's estimate, John installed it right away rather than waiting until the quartz was finished. This allowed us to get the kitchen sink connected sooner. He and his assistant did an excellent and efficient job with the installation, and he even helped move the appliances back into place after the job was complete.

John is a fantastic craftsman and pleasure to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and totally professional. In an old house where nothing is plumb, square or level, and he made his countertops fit perfectly. He really went the extra mile to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. He took time to fine tune everything about the installation, and to explain to us how to care for the new countertops. When a piece of tile that we supplied him to be built into a countertop turned out to be chipped, he went directly to the vendor and replaced it, and refused to be paid extra for his additional time. There were a couple of minor glitches and he took care of everything promptly, and with a great attitude.
