Terrible! I have never experience such a lack of professionalism in my life as a homeowner. Initially, everything went great. The owner came to my house and took measurements, and he took notes as I explained what I needed. I provided him with the spec sheets on the oven and the hood. The crew that came to install the cabinet and hood were on time and pleasant. However, the cabinet that they brought with them was around 10 inches too tall (to the point where there is barely room for a large pot on the stove, and you can't stir it because the hood is in the way)! The gentlemen performing the installation didn’t notice that the cabinet was not make correctly until after they had installed it and installed the hood. In fact, the only reason (I believe) that this was caught was the owner came to bring them lunch and noticed the problem. At that point I would have expected apologies and an offer to remake the cabinet at no cost to me. Instead, what I received was an attitude as if I did something wrong. The owner offered to remove the cabinet and cut it down to size, but then complained that the doors couldn’t just be cut down, but would have to be remade. When I questioned whether the quality of the structure or appearance of the cabinet would be compromised by cutting the cabinet down (rather than remaking it), he quit! He told me, “this job isn’t a good fit for me” and refused to do more work. He did offer to refund the money I had paid so far (about $950 in materials cost), but that would have totally left me hanging. It wasn’t about the money; I wanted him to do the job that he agreed to do at the agreed-on price. I literally begged him, in tears, not to quit the job. Finally, he agreed to have the doors remade and delivered to me if I agreed to pay him an additional $500 (presumably for the labor costs he’d incurred thus far). He refused to remove the cabinet and cut it down to the correct size, even though I asked several times. He gave no reason for his refusal. He told me I’d have to hire someone else to remove the hood and cabinet, cut the cabinet down to the correct size, reinstall the cabinet and hood, and install the doors on the cabinet. Unbelievable! The doors were remade and were delivered on the timeline promised, but this does little to make up for what a bad experience I had. Please note not of the other reviews on this site are current. Maybe something changed? I would not recommend every working with this company.
Response from Seattle’s Best Cabinetry & Remodeling LLC
"Ms. [Member Name Removed], Thank you very much for the review. We do take notice that your review was sent to each and every Agency that could post a review. And, we will make effort to address each posting. As company: we are appreciative of any review whether unfavorable or favorable. With any posting on the internet, like everything else in life, with the freedom to post a review comes responsibility. The responsibility is to not post a review that is only selective information and attempt to trash another person and/or business. With respect to this review: 1) Cabinet manufactured not correctly. (Upon noticing the error) We did apologize We did offer to modify the cabinet, correctly, at our expense. Modification would not affect the structural integrity of the cabinet itself, but cabinet doors had to be replaced. We provided a time frame, to remove the existing cabinet and to replace the cabinetry doors. However, this time frame for removal was limited either next day or following day; a Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. Client had been informed, prior to start of installation, our installers would be going on vacation. 2) A time frame making a new cabinet was offered. This time frame was not acceptable. However, discussed and found a solution which was acceptable. (We note that this review does not include this information and/or solution.) 3) We offered a full refund; client stated this was not acceptable. Other information not included in clients review: 4) Client stated job site electrical would be completed upon our arrival; it was not. To avoid a delay, and have an electrician return on another day, we completed the electrical for Ms. [Member Name Removed]. 5) Our office staff nor I, as business owner cannot recall any begging and/or emotional tears as part of these communications and/or solutions. 6) We understand that we cannot be perfect; we always want to correct any errors; however there are those times where it was not a good match."

Their customer service stands out. They were having employee and owner health issues at that time. I assume I would think about using them again, it depends on what the project was.

It went pretty well but I wonder about the wisdom of a marble counter top that already has rough patches on it in spite of using coasters and wiping up any water drops I see. Also the drain (Pfiister) they put in stayed open at first but now won't without shims. I notified the owner but he did not seem to take me seriously. The faucet and drain need to be replaced and the marble rough spots fixed.

We could not have done this job properly without the assistance of company owner Paul.  Every idea we came up with, Paul had a better one.  When we entered into this project we thought we knew what we wanted to do, but after consulting with Paul he made us see that there were better ways to accomplish what we were after.  This help was priceless.  As to the workmanship, the carpenters Paul employed were experts who were always here on time, were friendly, and always took the time to answer our questions.

The overall experience went fine and I would use again.  I have been very happy with the remodeled kitchen and rest of the things Greenlake Cabinets did.

After that work I had some water damage in my house. Paul, the owner, served as a general contractor for me and came out and ripped out some of the cabinets that he had installed. He was knowledgeable about general contracting, so he did that for me as well. He did beautiful work.

They were very professional. They was no hidden fees or agendas, it was pretty straight forward. When he got the estimate, it was what it was, there was no additional cost. The quality of work was fabulous. Their prices were expensive.

I love my new cabinet. I'm not sure what type of wood they used, but it is so beautiful and useful. Now, I have plenty of room for all my extra stuff that was just shoved into my closet before. They crew was polite, professional, and did everything in the time limit that they promised.
