The technician was punctual which is nice. He spent some time analyzing the water heater and after around 15 minutes he told me didn't know what the problem was. Although he did NOT know what the problem was he wanted to replace the thermostats.  He wanted to charge me $279 for a 10min job that could or could NOT fix the problem. This is only labor because parts are covered by warranty. I refused, but still had to pay $164.25 for basically doing nothing, which includes the $115 "diagnostic fee" (I was aware of this fee) and a $35 "miscellaneous fee" (I was NOT aware of this one). That's totally unreasonable considering he did NOT diagnose what the problem was. I will NOT be hiring Rush Plumbing again and I don't recommend this company to anyone.

When you have been WITHOUT HOT WATER for 5 DAYS you want the assigned plumber to:
COMMUNICATE his plans, get the job done right AND be considerate of you and your home.
1. He promised to call Rheem on Saturday  and put in the work order for the new heater. He didnt do it (Rheem confirmed) and he lied and told me the service line wasnt open. (It was; I spoke to them on Sun)
2. He ASKED ME  to locate the replacement heater at a Home Depot  where unit needed to be returned.  This would help speed things up he said. I took out time from my Sunday to help him and went to Home Depot. Located my model at South Center and Downtown. W Sea didnt have it. I let him know Sunday eve. where my model was.  He was ungrateful and sneering on the phone.  This didn't suit him, possibly couldn't return it to the other stores. He was all negative.  SouthCenter? he says and laughs.  He wouldn't commit to a time for Monday when I asked.  He'd let me know!
3. Monday morning he calls at 10 and will be over IN 5 MINUTES to remove the old heater and will be back late in afternoon to install. I said OK, thanks.
4. He is pressing the wrong keypad to open one of my  garage doors. That door is doesn't work well (it is on the side with all the exercise equipment! get it !) so its going up and down dragging my trellises.   He never thinks to ask me. I walked in and raised my voice at him pushed his hand away from the keypad.  What are you doing?  Why didn't you just ask me instead of touching things?  I was so annoyed and exasperated at this point.
5. After that he installs the heater and will not look at or talk to me. WHAT A MATURE MAN!  BTW he obtained the new heater at Home Depot in North Seattle. No problem after his whine.
6. His parting words - if you have no hot water tonight don't call me.
POOR COMMUNICATOR, A NEGATIVE NANCY, clearly doesn't care about your problem just doing the job.
USE SOMEONE ELSE!

Work was done well, pleasant and professional.  The initial "Deal" cost of $135.00 for a visit and an hour work.  The additional $800 to replace an elbow and 6" of gas pipe was a bit excessive to say the least.
Response from Rush Plumbing, Inc
"Thank you for your review.. I guess your life or your house is not worth $800.. Previous contractor was just going to run an illegal flex gas line to fix his mistake that he broke behind a wall.. had to cut and thread a new gas pipe and install, also had to move his large jetted bath tub and get it sized up for drain line install.. had several approx. 8 phone calls to get to this point.. got called in after he fired his previous contractor and clean up his work.."

We recently bought the house and wanted to get some plumbing upgrades done. One of the sink drain was broken so I thought buying a deal and getting the small work done will give me a fair idea about quality of work so I can decide if I want to hire them for rest of the job. The person came on time fixed it showed me his id and all. It was working fine for about a week. And the day I noticed that it's leaking luckily on the same day I had called one other plumber for estimate, after looking at the job done on sink drain he said its not done correctly but then I didn't believe him, as Rush Plumbing person showed me that he was a certified plumber. But 2 more persons from other plumbing companies said the same thing. So I got all my job done from another company. But this $135 was total loss.

The work went OK, not any complaints, but in the end I think the pricing was high but since we already had him out for the one item we added on more work.

Called up Rush Plumbing a couple of days before the job. The service technician was prompt and straight-forward.

Price was OK, we went with a different brand water heater (AO Smith) and there are additional mandatory work items like earthquake straps, extension tank that our city code requires.

Total job was $1,500 (including tax) to take care of everything.

No mess and the rusty water was drained in a non-descript area in our yard. It has been two weeks since the replacement and everything is working fine without any issues.

The gentlemen arrived on time. They were great at explaining what they were going to do and where there may be additional charges. We did not have any.   The work was completed and we are happy with it.

plumber did an excellent job of identifying the problem and fixing the leak.  The damage was in the details.   When the toilet was reseated the tile was damaged and the caulking job was not up to standard.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. I really had wanted to make sure that there weren't any leaks, and the drains were running properly, so I got pretty much what I bargained for, but more salesmanship than I was planning on, from the provider. He was recommending a service for my water heater, and it may or may not be valid, I would get a second opinion, before I do a vent for the water heater as he suggested. He was okay. He really didn't do anything but make sure that the drains were running, and I wasn't worried about the drain, I was worried about the leak. I wouldn't use him again, just because it was kind of an undefined service, and not something that ended up being useful to me. He was professional, courteous, and definitely here to perform the service as advertised, I wasn't understanding what he was doing. As I said, he spent much more time trying to sell me something that may or may not be necessary, but it wasn't something that I had hired him for. I think the price was okay, since I didn't understand what I was purchasing. I was looking for something other than what he was providing, and I'd probably go with a different plumber for my plumbing needs.

We had a constant drip coming from our bathtub faucet which we tried to repair ourselves but made it worse. We had watched several YouTube videos that helped us diagnose that it was our cold water that wasn't shutting off properly and that we'd need to replace the seal.  The videos also showed us how to repair a "3-handle" bathtub faucet set-up (individual knobs for hot, cold and shower aligned horizontally). We had gotten as far as replacing a part of the filter (?) on the cold water handle but it didn't stop the leak.  We wanted to remove the entire unit from wall for the cold water knob but only thing that was stopping us was the nut wasn't separate from the piping encasement and we didn't want to even attempt to torque it open for fear we would bust the pipe!
We did a YELP search initially and came across several companies, Rush Plumbing being one of them.  It was a Sunday and they were closed so we left a message on their answing machine.  Robert called me back first thing Monday morning to return our call. I told him the problem and he stated that he would arrive between 1-3pm the same day and quoted a flat rate for the initial visit.
Robert finished with his previous job earlier than expected and called to ask me if it would be okay to stop by earlier.  He came along with his apprentice Cody and proceeded to work on the leaky faucet.  Initially, he thought replacing the gasket/seal would fix the problem but it seems he needed to replace the entire housing for all the knobs (hot, cold and shower) and not for just the cold water which was giving us the issue.  The estimate he gave me was overpriced for what we could've paid if we did it ourselves but he did fix the issue so I'm happy about that. Plus, he was one of the 8 companies we had called on Sunday who actually called us back.

The plumber was great which says alot because I did something incredibly stupid which is that nothing was wrong with the hot water, but the under counter garbage can had hit the hot water knob and decreased the flow.  I felt incredibly dumb but the plumber was great.  As a courtesy he looked at a couple of other minor things and gave me some feedback to consider for the future.

I purchased the service as an Angie's List Big Deal . It was kind of an odd deal and didn't really amount to much. The bidet had to be returned, the pop-up drain works okay but not as well as I would have liked, and I was quoted about $75 to fix a faucet that probably cost that much to buy in the first place. I paid $69 for him to look at the drain. I guess the $25 deal was just for him to show up at the door.  I read it as the cost being applied towards the service but I must have misunderstood the deal.

End to end, Robert and Rush plumbing were professional and efficient.  The day after Robert was out, he was back with a water heater and the new pump to improve pressure.  He installed them in 3-4 hours.  While he was here, I looked down there a few times and there was a incredible mess from taking out the other water heater and tracking in dirt and mud from the rain that day.  When Robert told me he was done, the place was all cleaned up and you couldn't even tell they were there.  The work was done quietly, like so quietly a baby could have slept in the next room.
Robert went out of his way to help.  The new water pressure is remarkable and makes everything that uses water work so much faster.  The water heater is working great too.  The work is immaculate and professional.  I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.  If all plumbers worked like Robert and Rush Plumbing the world would be a far better place.

I knew I had a clogged drain and leaky faucet, and I basically used the Big Deal to have them confirm that.  They then wrote up an estimate and I never chose to follow up with them.  They were polite however, and answered all my questions.  They showed up on time and the service provider seemed very thorough.  I didn’t have an issue with them; I just didn’t like I had to pay $25 for someone to tell me something I already knew.
