My main gripe with this company is the first quote was $4400 for a straight out water heater swap. We were in a jam because we had no water and when I questioned the insane quote, the service person came back and said he had made a mistake and it was gonna be $2700. Sounds like a great deal in comparison but it left a bad taste in my mouth. In addition, the first person had to leave early so we did not have hot water for another day. He did make it so we had water and I was grateful for that. I will say that the second person they sent out to finish the job did impeccable work. He was incredibly professional, tidy and polite. Now of course this could have been an honest mistake but talking with other plumbers they all said that if the person had any experience they would have known that quote was way out of line. They also left with my new bucket, which the second guy thought was the companies and they have not returned it If you do decide to use them based on quality of work, try to get a rough estimate over the phone first so you have a ball park of the cost.

Same day service with an experienced technician who (Derek) who answered all my questions very patiently. The cost was more than I was expecting ($800 for an outdoor faucet replacement) but maybe that is just the going rate nowadays.

They were completely wrong with their diagnosis of our problem or deliberately misleading. I have no way of knowing which. The replacement shower faucet cartridge continued to leak after they replaced it and they told us that the problem was a problem with our water pressure and recommended a pressure reduction valve. If that didn't fix the problem with the faucet they said our shower faucet valve would need to be replaced. The plumber from Rain City quoted me an amount over $800 for each of those jobs, if we called and asked for him to do the work. The plumber (from a different company) that we called to install the PRV figured out that a) the thermal expansion tank was not functional and the leaking faucet was not caused by water pressure but by a faulty cartridge. He replaced the cartridge and the thermal expansion tank and now everything is working. In case someone wants to dispute our story, I've kept the old parts this time. The failure of the thermal expansion tank may have resulted in high pressure on the hot water line, but visible pinholes on the tank are a giveaway to someone who knows what they are looking for (obviously we didn't). The water that was leaking out of the faucet was hot, which was another clue.

Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The guys from Rain City Plumbing were very helpful and efficient in fixing my leaking toilet. They made short work of the job and would hire again.

Quick and responsive. They did what they said and for the price they would do it for.

They arrived within the scheduled appraisal timeframe, gave me the appraisal which I approved and were back within an hour with what was required for the job. Two hours later they were finished and gone. They were personable, polite, knowledgeable and worked efficiently, carefully and cleanly. I highly recommend them and their company Oh , this was a toilet replacement and included the flange, wall shutoff valve and feed hose.

Absolutely fantastic on every level. They were impressively fast in response. Super well organized and knowledgeable. Their pricing was literally 30% below competitors and they did and estimate and completed a big project in a single day (I called at 10am and they were at my house at 11am and turned around to complete the project by 2:00pm). I honestly think they were incredible. I highly recommend. Project - replacement of a water heater and expansion tank.

Outstanding customer service!

The crew â Derek, Caleb, and Darrenâ were prompt, polite, and efficient. The water heater they replaced was in an awkward location, but they were careful and competent and installed the new one well. In addition, they installed emergency shut off valves on our two toilets and replaced rusty pipes on our downstairs sink without having to cut up the drywall. I appreciate their extra effort to address our concerns. They remained cheerful and professional despite having to work in the rain, and they were careful not to track in mud. We are very happy with their work.

Derek showed up within the timeframe he committed to, was very knowledgeable of the job that had to be done and completed it a very professional way cleaned up when he was done. Did a super job.

Value We had a whole house repipe done. Besides having to do a lot finish work ourselves. Like finding the right hoses for washer, dryer, sink, toilet, shower, etc.) We had to pull up our carpet from the mess they made inside, going in and out, we are still picking up screws outside. Would not reccomend Spence and Co. for any plumbing need. When the issues we had with them were brought up, we got a not-good response. Financing was initiated before the workers even left. Oversold, overpriced, and under-delivered should be the motto of these guys.

After purchasing my 1939 house in Beacon Hill, I learned the hard way that the inspector missed the galvanized plumbing on the inspection and most of the plumbing would have to be replaced. I hired Rain City to replace all the galvanized with PEX as well as install a tankless water heater and run natural gas to the kitchen, fireplace, and furnace room. Spence, one of the owners, came out quickly to give and estimate and ended up walking me through the whole house, offering several solutions (beyond plumbing) to the issues I was facing while renovating an old house. At one point, HVAC and electric subcontractors were blocked by a bit of plumbing and although I wasn't on the schedule, Spence sent a guy out same day to unblock the other guys. When it came to the install, they did a phenomenal job with both the PEX and the natural gas, getting it done faster than they estimated and exactly at the price they quoted. Also, Antonio is THE MAN. Hands-down the most friendly and quality-minded guy who has worked on my home throughout the entire process. Thanks Spence, Antonio, and the whole Rain City team for the great work.
