The owner was quick in responding my initial request and accommodating my schedule. Yet, he failed to recognize the peculiarity of the building, which was built in 1930s. His team was not able to carry out many items he had promised to do. The team of three electricians replaced only 2 of the three thermostats, mounted the TV, drilled a hole in the ceiling but informed me there was not enough space for the cone. (It turns out there are recess lights that can fit into a space as shallow as 3 inches). Instead, they installed a hanging lamp on the ceiling with wiring tangling outside the ceiling, just to cover the hole they made.
Unfortunately, within two days I had to leave for a three-month tour. This issue was set aside until I returned in December. I left a message to the office for them to fix it. But I have not heard anything from them since then. I'm very disappointed by this lack of professional curtesy and unwillingness to take the responsibility to complete the job.
If you want to get any electric work with any degree of complexity, do not go to Queen Anne Electric.

Very prompt and proffessional response to my initial contact.    Jason one of the onwers arrived at my home exactly as scheduled, was thourough and efficient.    Received a detailed quotation within 2 days that was very clear and easy to understand.   An appointment was set up and the team of two worked at the house diligently for two days.    These guys arrived on time, worked hard all day, were very respectful, worked clean - you would never know they were there -- rarely have I seen people work in my home that were so concerned about not making or leaving a mess of any sort.    The folks that came to the house were very pleasant
 and professional.
I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future without hesitation

We bought an 80 year old house in Greenlake.  The inspector warned us that it had a recalled Federal-Pacific panel that was a fire danger, and advised we also have the electrical system checked out by a professional.  After talking to a few other providers, we went with QA Electric.  Justin and his team were very responsive and very careful in doing a very big job.   They rewired (almost) the entire house, replacing all the knob-and-tube, tripling the number of outlets, and adding 3-way switches in very complicated locations.  They completed the whole job in a week, on budget, enabling us to move in on time.  We've had no problems in the 2 years since, highly recommended.

Justin was very responsive. Due to a cancellation he was able to come out and meet me the very same day and set up an appointment for the next day. The crew came in on time and took proper measures to ensure our appliances were protected while working. They set up the outlet with minimum damage to the drywall and covered it up very well. The microwave installation was done very well, although more care could have been taken when drilling the holes in the cabinet to hang it. Other than that detail, everything else went very well. I would definitely recommend them, and use them again.

Justin was very responsive to questions we had (prior to job and during the job).  Justin's employees were easy to work with and they performed the work quickly and efficiently.  We solicited 4 bids for this job and while Queen Anne Electric wasn't the highest or lowest bid, they were the best fit for us.  We would definitely use them again!  Pricing was straight forward and they stayed within their original bid.  ALL GOOD!

Everything went great.  Justin came out to give quotes on work done (as well as some other things not done), and he was on time and very knowledgeable.  He quickly came up with a cost effective plan to get power supply to part of garage that didn't have it.  The work was done a couple weeks later by 2 other employees.  They were also timely, professional, and efficient.  The whole job took under an hour, and the freezer is working fine.  I'm happy with the price and the work, and I'd use them again.

They did a good job. Justin the owner was very responsive in coming out and giving us an estimate. He was easy to communicate by email. He was very busy and came out with in a couple of weeks to do the work. They were very efficient and very clean. He interacted well with my daughter. He was professional and when he was done, it did not look like he had been here. I would use him again.

We've been in our house 21 years and hadn't upgraded the electrical, which consisted of knob and tube wiring throughout with some romex wiring mixed in. When the kitchen light spontaneously fell from the ceiling, dangling by one crusty knob & tube wire, we couldn't ignore the inevitable upgrade any longer. We have lath & plaster throughout the house, but luckily the attic and basement remain unfinished with the wiring exposed.
We met with four electricians and received three bids for the work. We chose Queen Anne Electric because they were a small company so the owners were more likely to be hands-on than the larger firms that bid. Their bid was comparable in price to the others, and we appreciated that Justin (an owner) itemized the bid per our request. The other companies did not. Itemizing helped us understand and trust the price.
Work began about two weeks after accepting their bid. Jubal (an owner) and Jose did the work. Jose was there full-time, and Jubal was there about half the time. They were very professional, friendly, courteous, and focused on the work. They worked room by room replacing the wiring and discovered areas where the existing romex was improperly spliced into the knob & tube. We own a dog and cat, and they were careful to keep them indoors. I work from home so was there the majority of the time. Aside from the cold, noise, and occasional lack of electricity which was all to be expected, it was a positive experience. Jose was late a couple days due to car battery issues, but otherwise generally worked 7:45-4:15. The job took 6 days.
Now that the work is complete, we have some damage to the plaster around some light switches and outlets, but that was expected and most of the switches/outlets are unscathed. We no longer have flickering lights and can now run the dishwasher and microwave at the same time. Woo Hoo!

Outstanding service and communication.  Responded promptly and performed all work within our very short time frame to prepare the home for inspection and sale.  Cleaned up job site after completion.  Prepared quotes for additional work in the future, if we or a buyer wishes to pursue those projects.  If QA Electric serves our own home area, we'd hire them again with total confidence.

These guys were great!  I originally contacted them to install a new switch for the light and fan in one of our bathrooms.  This was a small job, but beyond my capability.  While they were here, I discussed the need for extending our garage service to two storage sheds, one of which had an older electrical service that no longer worked.  They were able to return the same day, trouble-shoot the old service, and replace the service to the garden shed.  They also extended service to another storage shed, installed lights and an outlet.

Great work!  Efficient, courteous, left the areas clean.  Definitely recommend these guys!

It went very well overall. I called on Friday and they would have been able to come the following Monday if I had been available. They were right on time (actually early) and completed the job within a couple of hours. They were professional, thorough, and talked me through the options available to me. I will gladly call Queen Anne Electric for future electric work.

Our bedroom heat was powered by an old electric wall heater, and it wasn't doing the job anymore. It would blast heat at random intervals, and the heat didn't permeate the room very well. Our room was freezing when the heater was off or not blasting. I first had a heating company come take a look, and they told me I would need an electrician to do the job. They recommended Queen Anne Electric.
Justin from Queen Anne Electric came out and recommended a $500 Convectair radiant wall panel to improve our heat situation. The work was scheduled for 2 weeks later. We are very happy with what he recommended--the panel is great and spreads the heat without blasting, and has an accurate thermostat. QAE did other odds an end while here, including installing some light fixtures and fixing a couple of odd timer switches and replacing them with regular switches. The total bill for this first visit was $1,465, including the cost of the radiant panel. They were here about one day.
We were very happy with Justin's knowledge and the skill and speed of the electricians who were on site. So, we had them back to install an overhead light in the living room of our old tudor house (our LR had no overhead lighting at all prior to this). I was a little nervous because the walls are lath and plaster--other contractors weren't sure at all that we could run wiring without destroying the plaster. Justin said they could run the wiring by making just a few holes instead of trenching the entire wall and ceiling. The work was scheduled for about 2 weeks later. They did a great job, making only four smallish holes that our house painter was easily able to patch. While here, QAE also installed several light fixtures and did some other odds and ends. This took about one day and the cost was $907.
The only reason I gave a "B" for responsiveness is sometimes I had to email a couple of times to get answers to questions before the work began. I think this is simply because they are busy. My experience is that good electricians are extremely busy, moreso than any other kind of contractor. Overall they were very organized with appointment times, estimating, and invoicing.

Crew arrived on time, toured house and project, got to work.

All basically went well, but the the crew damaged the garage exterior paneling while installing sub-panel. The damage occurred while a worker first used a chisel to chip out a stud, then used a sawzall to finish remove the stud. The worker punched through the wall in multiple spots.

In trade, the crew chief agreed to not charge me for an extra outlet that I had requested installed in addition to the earlier estimate. It later took me about an hour to fix the exterior damage.

Also, the crew was packing up and leaving, I pointed out that there were still several items not yet fixed/installed.
- Flex hose under sink at garbage disposal.
- Outlet in garage.

Both items were then fixed before the team left.
Overall, I thought everybody on the team was very nice. (Which is important.) The master electrician chief seemed experienced, fast, and knowledgeable, but several of the crew seemed inexperienced and/or poorly directed.

I hired Queen Anne Electric due to the excellent reviews found here on Angie's List, but my experience with the team makes me think that their ratings are a bit high.

Justin bid the job during the inspection period as we were purchasing a new home.  The electrical in the house was not up to code and there was some remaining knob and tube wiring that cluttered the attic.  Simon came and did the work efficiently.  We asked him to do some additional work after he arrived making the job cost a little more than the original bid.  Simon answered all of our questions and helped us think through possible electrical projects in the future.
