I have never written a bad review before and I'm sorry to say that Bruce at Power Max has earned this one. I was foolish to pay them in advance for the 2 caps.  They only installed one and although I called and spoke to Bruce and then called and left 3 messages asking them to finish the job they didn't return my calls.  So, they pocketed the cash for the 2nd cap ($50?) and didn't fulfill their work order.

It was great.  I tried to do it myself and the brush head became stuck in the line.  He removed the brush head that I was unable to retrieve.  My self cleaning had actually created a larger problem - when the brush head came out it was followed by a clump of lint - scary.  He also cleaned the inside of the dryer, which also provided a satisfying level of lint removal.

We had been using another air duct cleaner, furnace man, Kelvin, for over 10 years and were very satisfied with his work. When we called to schedule our every other year service, another company's message machine took the call which surprised us. Turns out Kelvin had died and somehow Pro Max Power Vac got all his customers. So we assumed we would get the same reliable service. Randy Hirst 'service manager' (says this on the business card) and helper were at our home within 2 days of calling to do the job. Randy acted very friendly. The 2 of them were done in an hour. Kelvin usually took about 3 hours and spent more time on our furnace than Randy did but we thought nothing unusual about it. Just before they left, Randy suggested a better quality air filter. We paid him for it, $69 plus tax, and he said the filter company would mail it, we should receive it in 2 weeks. Three weeks went by, I left a message with their office. No reply. In another week, I left a 2nd message and Randy called back the next day saying "I checked their website last night (meaning the filter company) but it was down. Sometimes they send them to the wrong address. I will check on it and call you back tomorrow". Randy or his office never called back. This was over 2 months ago. I have left several messages with zero response. I have since read in Yahoo Reviews, the BBB and Consumer Protection Office of Washington State the exact experiences with others using this service. They also show address in Federal Way and Auburn, same company.

They did that work as part of an insurance problem we had, so it did not cost us anything. They were very good, professional and they went about their work. We were real impressed with them. It seemed to us that they knew what they were doing and they were just professional. They were the kind of people that came in, set up and got to work and I appreciated that.

They completed the job in one hour. Randy called back the day I originally called and we made the appointment. They were a few minutes late, but very apologetic explaining the traffic was bad (we've had some bad weather). Overall it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

Bruce did a great job. He was here on time and he worked efficiently and carefully. He recommended that I reposition my air filter, which is something I'd wanted to do for several years. He ordered a special filter, and promised to come back to install it.

This company uses a powerful vacuum from their truck to clean out the air ducts and the furnace. From my research, I found that there are a lot of companies that DO NOT clean air ducts correctly/effectively. Pro Max does the job the right way and did a good job overall.
