improve water flow issue in first kitchen sink was unsuccessful and resulted the the water flow being even worse than before, so we did not proceed with the planned work on the second kitchen sink faucet. We were invoiced for the visit where the technician made our plumbing problem worse.
The technician was unfamiliar with our hot water heater system and called an expert who suggested two different replacements to our heating system including: replacing hot water tank, replacing whole-house hot water circulator. I contacted Pioneer Plumbing and spoke to the owner several times to get an estimate on the replacement work and options. The owner was responsive at first and gave a verbal estimate for the labor and parts, but follow up calls to Brian to for more information were not returned.
Our sewer was clogged! Jason was very nice and determined the problem quickly, brought in the "sewer machine" and in just a little while had cleared the offending tree roots! Whew! I had been concerned that there would be some major problem causing the blockage. My only complaint was that I would have appreciated a courtesy call when there was a significant delay in arrival time. I had to call two times as I stayed home waiting for the expected late morning appointment to arrive finally in the late afternoon. Still, all in all it was very satisfactory service. Jason was very neat and efficient and gave me maintenance pointers to avoid the problem in the future. I would gladly recommend Pioneer Plumbing.

"Thank you for taking time out to review us! We make it policy to always provide a two-hour window for all our customers, this allows our plumbers to do quality work and commute from job to job at a steady pace. Tip: if you don't like the two-hour window option, you can always request to be the first appointment of the day."
I called around and talked to multiple companies to get some estimates. It's worth mentioning that when one of the companies realized they couldn't do my job in the timeframe I needed, they pointed me to Pioneer as well. Out of the 3 bids I received, Pioneer was in the middle (about $500 higher than the low bid). I liked that they sent someone out to the house within an hour of my call who took the time to locate my line before giving me a ballpark figure for the required work. (One of the other companies didn't bother to figure out how deep the hole would actually need to be, estimated 2 feet deeper than necessary, and gave me an estimate that was 2X Pioneer's estimate.)
I appreciated that Pioneer prioritized my job and got to work the next business day because I had to get tenants back in the house. They were efficient and got the job done in the timeframe expected (2 days) - even though it was a hand dig (too tight of a spot to get a machine in there) and there was a problem with the jetter once the cleanout was installed. (The clog was really stubborn.)
To dig the hole, they had to cut through some hardscape - 4X6 ties anchored with rebar. Although they didn't put things back exactly as it was (not possible and I wasn't expecting them to), they got pretty darn close. I was pleasantly surprised at how normal the area looked after they backfilled the hole (most of the ties are re-set, they put the gravel back over the hole).
I will have Pioneer perform routine inspections and cleaning of my line from now on (and will likely have them come to my primary residence to see if I need maintenance there).
"Thank you for your review! Pioneer survives almost completely on word-of-mouth and it WORKS! We love to hear it when people found our service and value to their liking."
