PRO:  The gentleman seemed very thorough.  He inspected inside the roof, in the crawl space below the house and all of the appliances and outlets etc.  We had a great binder showing us pictures of the whole process he went through.
CON:  The gentleman said he did not know how old our roof was but he had seen it from the inside and been out on it and the roof was in great condition, we had years left on the roof.  Three months after we purchased the house the next door neighbors came over to tell us our car port was bowing.  We had a family member that was a contractor come look and he said the car port needed to be reinforced at the least and that the entire roof had soft spots.  He suggested we call for quotes for a new roof.
SUBSEQUENTLY:  We were told by the roofing companies that came to do estimates (3 companies) that the roof didn't have but maybe a year.  They showed us how to maintain it so we could prolong the life of the roof and try to save up some money.  It would not have been such a big issue if we had a 2 story house and not a rambler with twice the roof to be done.  We are now finally putting a new roof on the house and contemplating a lawyer because the roof should have been replaced before the mortgage was done.  It was pushed through but an inspector that gave us a bad eta on the life span of our roof for a quick buck.  Had we know we had little to no time we would have looked at a different house.

Yes, I recommend this pro
They were extremely professional. After the inspection, they had a binder with pictures of the inspection. They had home maintenance suggestions, which was extremely helpful for me.
