Wonderful experience. The team was very professional and did such a great job helping me pick the colors. Prepping the house included replacing a piece of siding and a piece of trim by garage door. They did a thorough inspection, offered a great price, provided a written estimate and contract outlining exactly what they would do. Team of two or three arrived on time, always cleaned up before they left for the day. They sprayed on paint, and back brushed/rolled for complete coverage. they painted the gutters, under the rafters - and showed great attention to detail. They were so good and reasonably priced that we contracted them to paint a bedroom and a bathroom as well! Would definitely use again!

There was a lot of confusion surrounding the original proposal. It contained some provisions that were obviously boilerplate that didn't apply to my job. It needed to be revised. Also, part of the job that I assumed was included in the proposal was not included according to the salesperson, Catherine. The work was performed quickly and professionally once the agreement was sorted out. However, I had to deduct from the quality grade because the color of the paint was not the color that we had selected and had communicated to Catherine.

"When using Urethane based coatings, a very expensive product ( $110.00 per gallon) compare to regular house paint ($20.00 to $30.00 per gallon) color selection is limited unless a large order is place that can be factory tinted to matched. We submit the color to the owner, who approved it. The semigloss finish of a urethane - which they never come in flat version evidently look slightly different to the paint on the wall. This was explained in advance. Unfortunately even after these explanations this customer wanted a flat look on a metal-concrete staircase to match the siding."

The PCS crew did a great job painting the south side of our townhouse a few years ago so we asked them back to paint the rest of our exterior and clean our gutters. They do a great job painting, very thorough and neat. They completed the work for our house and our neighbor's house in less than a week. Our only small hiccup was that they trimmed some tall shrubs around our house much more intensively than was required for the job - cutting some main support branches (several inches thick) and leaving the shrub looking quite unbalanced. They also painted over the vents for the house, causing our dryer vent to break inside and overheat. To their credit, they came back and opened the vents and paid for the subsequent repairs needed to the dryer vent.

They were kind and courteous and their work was outstanding. They were the only painters to have worked on the house where the paint didn?t peel away. We were pleased with their prices. We liked them well enough to refer them to our neighbors. We would use them again if we have to.

The owner, Dario, was pleasant and helpful. He made several suggestions about how to fix problems in a cost efficient, high-quality manner. The crew arrived promptly at the agreed-upon day. The team of three men worked diligently for five days. They were efficient and were neat and tidy. In general, they did a good job of keeping paint off of areas that it did not belong. At the end of the job, we pointed out several small spots where paint had been smeared onto a surface where it did not belong. There were also a couple of minor areas where additional work needed to be done. These minor problems were quickly and competently corrected.

Once we agreed on the details of the job, the work began with careful preparation. We had a 3 to 4-man team who worked daily on completing the job as the weather allowed. We were trying to complete the job before the fall rains. The workmen were efficient and hard-working. They cleaned up after themselves daily and always left the work area tidy. One frustration was that only one worker spoke limited English and it was difficult to communicate with the team members or to ask questions. We were never told exactly when to expect them to return to work the next day. Dario worked with us in selecting a stain to match the main paint color. Rachael, the office support person, was very helpful in working out a mistake with the color for the double doors. The job was completed to our satisfaction in a timely manner. They even came back to apply the contrasting trim to the chimney box after they had been paid!

I got many estimates for painting, and chose PCS because Dario seemed so detail oriented and because of the fair price. Unfortunately, the workers were not quite so easy to work with as Dario. I had told them I wanted eggshell (not flat) because our house gets a lot of weathering. When I saw that there were many 5 gallon buckets of flat, I told the painter that it wasn't what I had asked for, and he yelled and basically threw a fit. Not professional. Dario and his partner did make an extra effort to rectify the situation, both in practical terms, and to call me personally to say that things would be made right. Still, the conduct was unnecessary and unpleasant. Dario and his partner run the company well, but I would be sure that absolutely everything is understood between you and the workers, and ask them who will be working on the job and what you can expect from them. I hope that they have rectified the overall situation either through other people or training.

They did an excellent job. Very professional; arrived on time, were unobstrusive, worked efficiently and professionally all day. Cleaned up well. It's been almost a year now and the job looks as good as on the day they finished. Dario was extremely pleasant and professional, a pleasure to deal with, as were all of the painters.

Dario and his crew did a great job. Our house hadn't been painted in a while, and prep work was pretty extensive. Dario was responsive to phone calls and requests, and met with us whenever we needed to talk. Crew was on time, and worked efficiently. Dario was patient with us as we made color choices. In fact, he made a suggestion for a color for the fascia boards that was different than the window trim color. After it was painted, we decided we'd prefer the other trim color, so they re-painted, at no extra charge. Clean-up was good, and no plants, trees, or flowers were damaged. Project was two weeks from start to finish, would have been quicker but for a couple of rainy days and the fact we were picking out colors as we went. One message didn't get relayed from Dario through his office to us, causing one communication mix up, but no big deal. Overall, a very positive experience, and we love the way the house looks.

It was a very small job, and went okay. My main concern was that the worker did not speak English well, and he was the only person who was ever on-site to look at the job. I was not sure that I had communicated what I wanted. He primed and painted (2 coats), and it took about 4 hours. He was very thorough in taping things off, but not quite as meticulous in cleanup as I would have liked. Also, the person in the office didn't seem to know much about what was going on, and when I called to confirm my appointment it took 3 tries to actually speak to someone. I gave a low grade on professionalism because the two people I had contact with (the office and the painter) were difficult to communicate with.

"YES, THE JOB WAS SMALL AND SCHEDULED PROMPTLY. MOST OF THE COMPANIES OUR SIZE WILL REJECT THIS KIND OF JOBS. WE ARE VERY SERVICE ORIENTED. THE CUSTOMER CALLED MORE THAN ONCE TO GET THE SAME ANSWER. THAT WE WOULD BE THERE, ON TIME AND READY TO DO THE JOB. THERE WAS CONFIRMATION AT THE TIME IN WHICH IT WAS SCHEDULED AND CONFIRMATION THE DAY BEFORE. WE SENT A SKILLED PAINTER TO DO THE JOB, EVEN IT WAS A SMALL JOB. THIS PAINTER DOES NOT NEED A SUPERVISOR TO CHECK ON HIS WORK WHEN HE PAINTS A DOOR. YES, NOBODY ELSE WAS AT THE JOB SITE. THE PAINTER DID THE JOB. WHEN HE FINISHED, HE ASKED ACCEPTANCE FROM THE CUSTOMER. SHE DID NOT MENTION CLEANING ISSUES AT THAT TIME. SHE ACCEPTED THE JOB. SHE WANTED TO PAY OUR PAINTER IN CASH, HE DID ACCEPTED PAYMENT. OUR OFFICE CALLED THE CUSTOMER AND ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS OK (SAME DAY), SO WE CAN SEND HER AN INVOICE. THE CUSTOMER CONFIRMED ONCE MORE. WE WERE PAID. WE PAY ALL THE REQUIRED ATTENTION TO EVEN A SMALL JOBS. IF IT TOOK THREE TRIES, COULD MEAN SIMPLE THAT THE LINE WAS BUSY. NO VOICE MAIL WAS LEFT FOR THOSE THREE TRIES…WE WILL KEEP SCHEDULING SMALL JOBS TO SERVICE CUSTOMER THAT OTHER COMPANIES DON’T WANT TO DO IT…."

My wife and I picked Dario and PCS after reading the reviews here on Angie's List. He estimated the job, suggested some alternatives for paint and trim colors, and then his crew took over. Six business days later, the entire house was painted, along with the trim. A neighbor who paints for a living (interior only) said the crew was doing a bang-up job; nice to hear a compliment from another professional! People in the neighborhood also complimented the crew and the job. Dario's crew (Hector, Martin, and the others) were always on time, worked hard, and cleaned up the job site after each day's work was through, including removing plastic masking from the windows. I highly recommend them for the work performed. Price was in the middle of other bids, but given the work quality, it was worth it. Thanks again, folks!

Excellent paint job, crew was on time each morning & very polite. The same crew that did the pressure washing also painted the house. Cleaned up the area at the end of each day plus a final cleanup when the job was completed. I would highly recommend PCS.

Overall I was extremely pleased. The staff, from top to bottom, were friendly and courteous. This was about the lowest quote I received from four companies. The workers (most of whom spoke Spanish and little English) were diligent and experienced. Their work was meticulous and flawless. They cleaned up each day. On the downside: There was miscommunication about repair of a fascia board, but they came back later and did a satisfactory job. Carpentry is not their strong suit. Also, I was not asked in advance which parts of the house were to be painted the siding color versus the trim color (e.g., under the eaves) and by the time I realized it, it was too late to change.

PCS was a joy to work with. The work was done exactly as promised. When I gave them the wrong name for the trim and they had to buy a different color (I paid the extra $60), they were wonderfully understanding. The workmen cleaned up each night and were meticulous in the preparation work. The result is even better than I expected. This is a company that takes pride in their work.
