Good. However I was not given a choice of doorknobs. There is a dexterously challenge elderly person living here and the smooth, round doorknob is difficult to turn.

Jerry arrived on time to rekey 3 locks in the house we had purchased. He indicated it would take 30 minutes and precisely 30 minutes later I was paying him. He was very friendly and professional.

The ignition lock cylinder on my Honda froze up, rendering my car inoperable. Towing the car and having the dealer repair it was a very expensive option. Instead, I called Pacific Lock and Key. Jerry was very knowledgeable, both in general and about my specific problem. He called me back in about 20 minutes to let me know that he would be able to pick up a new lock cylinder in Redmond, quoted me an exact price for the work, and said that he would probably be able to stop at my house in Seattle and fix my car that afternoon, while I was at work.
I arrived home to find Pacific Lock and Key's very professional-looking van in the driveway, with Jerry finishing up the repair. He charged me the same price he had quoted over the phone.
I was very relieved to have my car fixed at reasonable cost.
Pacific Lock and Key's service was exemplary, and I highly recommend him to Angie's List subscribers.

Great! However I do wish Angie's List would cease asking me for reviews I do NOT want to give. I have asked them to stop previously but I still get bothered upon login.

We called to change out 3 locks that had stopped working. We had suffered some minor vandalism and we were concerned about our safety. Mr. Lee was there within the hour, and finished within 45 minutes. He was professional, on time, and so responsive! I can't say enough about how pleased we were with the services!

I tried two places to get some service but they were either busy or unavailable. I got ahold of Jerry on the second ring and explained what I needed. He responded immediately and was at my door within two hours and close to the time he said he would arrive. Jerry was very professional. He suggested some good solutions to a couple of complications I had with the locks. He was in and out within 1.5 hours. I would use Pacific Lock and Key again.

They are always there when you need them in a pinch. I have locked myself out of my house they have been right over. They have been really really good. I have used them for about 10 years. I liked the fact that even though I have used them for many years they still ask for my ID to make sure i am the right person.

He (Jerry, I think) showed up 30 mins late but there was a good explanation and I didn't mind. He looked at and took apart the locks and explained I would need two keys (as the locks were different manufacturers - one type was Schlage). He went out to the van and worked on the keys and made sure they worked perfectly. I also got extra sets. Meanwhile I asked if they had skeleton keys (for some of our inside doors). He said they had one type and it worked on about 25% of doors. I tried it out and it worked on one of the 3. He gave it to me for free. It took about 40 minutes to make the keys and he assembled the locks and showed me which keys worked where. He was very friendly and helpful and professional. I would use them again.

Due to the recent loss/theft of my carry-on luggage - spare key and home address included - I needed prompt service above all else (to rekey the entire house). I called another competitor first on the the basis of his Angies List profile (several reviews; uniformly positive) and while I am sure he would have done an admirable job, he was not going to be able to come rekey my house anytime near enough (I called on Wednesday and he could not until Thurs evening, at a time I had a huge conflict with, or, then Saturday midday).. When I next called Pacific Lock and Key, Jerry (owner) said he could be over in a half an hour. He arrived twenty minutes later and promptly went to work. I did not even request an estimate upfront - I believe I read among PLand K reviews some comment that there had been a miscommunication about the pricing (note: English is not Jerry's first language but he spoke well enough for a hearing impaired person whose hearing aids were in that same lost/stolen carry-on to understand even without the aids I rely so heavily on.) Not only did Jerry NOT price-gouge me, the bill actually came in under the amount cited in one of the reviews I read for another whole house rekey with fewer doors (and spare keys, if they were included, were either not mentioned or I skimmed the comments badly). Myy bill, tax included, was about $20 less than this online reference point. ( I have no idea if some door locks are more complicated to replace than others. Still, the bill was a mildly pleasant surprise.). Wrap up ... Jerry arrived promptly, quietly set about his work with swift efficiency and left no mess and did a beautiful job. Some days later now, no incidental damage found, all new keys work readily in all doors and all doors lock smoothly - no reason to call him back to polish up some work. With an experience like mine there is no reason not to endorse Pacific Lock and Key wholeheartedly. I

A couple of years ago, Pacific Lock and Key replaced one doorknob set. I was pleased with the service and planned to someday replace several more doorknobs. I purchased doorknobs myself. Jerry went to work right away upon arrival. He worked quickly and efficiently. A saw was required, so a mess was made. I preferred to clean up (vacuum) the mess myself. If you use their services, you would want to clarify the clean-up issue. The price of $360.00 included the service charge and tax.

We called Jerry on a Friday evening, and he came out within an hour. He fixed our door lock very quickly, and had some helpful suggestions for us as well. This is now the second time we have used him, and we recommend him highly!

The person who came explained everything to me and it was not as simple as I thought it would be. He gave me the price upfront and if I wanted to go ahead I could. I thought that the price was good after he had explained to me what the problem was.

I called and spoke to Jerry on a Friday and made an appointment for the next Monday for a deadbolt installation. I'm somewhat outside of his service area (Eastside), and he wasn't too excited about trying to get to my house on a weekday afternoon, so he volunteered to come do it on Sunday. He showed up promptly when he said he would and got to work. I then added some work to what he'd planned, which he handled just fine, even suggesting that I buy a new lock set for my front door at a home improvement store since they sell them cheaper than he can. While I ran to the home improvement store to get the new lock set he went to work on the deadbolt install. While at the home improvement store, I decided to buy another deadbolt to replace one that was worn out. I brought all the parts back fully expecting to just have him re-key the new deadbolt and let me install it, but he happily installed it. He did get paid for it, but he dealt very happily with me adding more work to his already-busy Sunday schedule, which included five more stops after me. What started as a deadbolt install ended up as: new deadbolt, fix latch on same door that wouldn't latch properly, replace front door set (remove old, install new, re-key, install new striker plate) and replace deadbolt on other door (remove old, install new, re-key, install new striker plate). He finished the whole job about an hour. Oh, and I should add that he did the work at the weekday rate, not the Sunday rate! I wouldn't expect that to happen every time, though. Overall, an excellent job. My doors close very nicely now - deadbolts work wonderfully. One of the more impressive parts of his visit was Jerry recommending that I buy the new parts at a home improvement store. Many contractors would have been more than happy to sell me overpriced stuff, but he was totally honest about it. Very nice to see!
