Trundle bed seems flimsy/cheap. Could have returned but chose not to bother Kitchen cabinet door replacement - flawless match of stained cherry where other cabinets had aged and darkened with oxidation over time. Very pleased with cabinet

They make great quality products. They will happily customize pieces for you. Their prices are very competitive and a good value, considering what you get. The quality is incredible. Everything is very solid, as well as beautiful.

This was a multi-activity activity. I had just moved in and needed to populate my new home with furniture. I wanted made-in-America products, and I favored buy-local and natural-wood products. After searching around, I found Don Willis and went to their Kent/Federal Way store as they were having a clearance sale from the closure of another store. While there, I bought a few clearance items and ordered others, custom-made. With a lot of help from the staff, I was able to design from scratch a corner entertainment cabinet to demanding dimensions, choose the wood type, and make the order. I also ordered some master-bedroom furniture to match a headboard I had purchased back in the 70s or 80s in Vermont.
The entertainment cabinet generated some challenges from their builder out of town, and that caused a delay. I was not in a rush, so I told them it wasn't a big problem. It finally arrived at the warehouse. They called me to advise me that it seemed oddly shaded due to different types of maple used in the frame vs. the door paneling. I said it was OK, since I had similar two-tone arrangements in an adjoining room's cabinets. It turned out to be completely satisfactory in my environment. The delivery guys were great too and handled the heavy stuff with little difficulty up and down my stairs.
I just went back and ordered a bed and nightstands for my guest bedroom.

Great, real wood product that are well price. They were very responsive and helpful in solving our particular problems.

It was fine. Nothing spectacular. We saw what we liked, they packed it into our car (or delivered it) and we paid with a check. It was all very straight forward.

Don Willis delivered my furniture on time, and all I had to do was place the shelves for the bookcase where I wanted them. Unfortunately, I let one of the shelves slip flat in the bookcase, and in the process of trying to pry it up, managed to break one of the glass doors. They came back out, got the shelf in place (the solution was to take off the doors and tip the bookcase upside down), and took away my broken door. It was returned repaired 3 days later, and reinstalled. No additional fee. I feel they really went the extra mile in customer service. The furniture is good, solid furniture.

I was redoing my family room and was thinking of getting a custom built in to hold books and entertainment equipment. I looked up cabinet makers in Angies list and came across Don Willis furniture. I had heard of them but had never used them. I had just spent a lot of money remodeling and thought this might be a way to save some money. I went to the Ballard store and explained by interests to the salesperson. He was very helpful and we came to an agreement. Although they do sell custom builtins, he told me I would save money by measuring myself and buying stand along pieces. I chose this approach. He then drew some rough sketches based on samples on the showroom floor and my requirements. We chose stain and wood. I chose delivery for a small fee. He also told me of an upcoming promotion of "no sales tax" ie 9.5 % off. They offer this every time there is a Seattle home show. I appreciated he gave this discount to me even though the promotion was not yet in effect. There prices are very reasonable for solid wood furniture even without the discount. ( I Just bought three rooms full of furniture so I know they are reasonable). When the furniture is complete, they call you to arrange for delivery. Delivery was scheduled about 5 days after that. They give you your two hour window delivery time at this point which was great. The pieces fit perfectly and look great almost like a built-in. They are made very well and are made locally. (WA state). The quality is superior to what you get at other stores for the same or more money. I am going to have another bookcase made for my hallway. If you are in the market for furniture, you should check out Don Willis!

They were helpful, made sure that everything was delivered to the barge line and was packed so that there were no problems. It is very decent, well made furniture.

They are awesome and their quality of work is good. They can make your dresser taller or wider or however you need it. They are into growing their wood sustainably. If they have any glue in their furniture, it’s soy-based and formaldehyde-free. They are pretty reasonable when it comes to price.

He built the bedroom set and a window seat. The people who designed the work were creative, friendly and they had a good aesthetic sense and they understood what I was trying to convey and they could execute my ideas very well. I went to their store and looked around and gave them a plan. They were great. They took 3 months to complete the work and the quality was good.

Very honest, no pressure but helpful. The delivery was the very next day and exactly on time. A great selection of furniture.

They have an association with carpenters and they can get anything that you want. I think they are a great resource, and they do great work. The price is excellent for what you get. I really liked them.

I've ordered items from this company on three previous occasions and was very satisfied - good product, pleasant personnel. This year, the process was a little bumpier - communication problems, some concerns re: product quality - but they were always courteous. They gave varied estimates of completion dates. I made an unnecessary trip (45 minutes each way) after being incorrectly notified the cabinet was ready for pickup. I would have liked it if they had returned my calls more quickly. An installed lock did not work properly, but my husband was able to make a satisfactory adjustment, saving me a return trip. The wall cabinet was not exactly what I expected, but it met my needs - in retrospect, I would try be more careful figuring out what detail I was overlooking, plus I misunderstood what was/was not included. The products I received worked for me, so I would still recommend them, just with some reservations.
