Olympic Hot Tub Seattle

Olympic is great company....and our salesperson in the Woodinville WA office, Suzanne Dillon, was fantastic. Couple snafus' along the way but she stuck with us through it all and we are enjoying our new hot tub today!

We bought a hot tub (Classic model) from Olympic in 1988, from (I think) the company's founder, Alice Cunningham.  I researched hot tub manufacturers then and concluded Olympic's Hot Springs Spas were the best; maybe not the cheapest, but certainly the best.  I haven't been disappointed.  A wonderful stress-reliever; I'd use it several times a week, usually in the morning with a cup of coffee and the sports section.  It performed wonderfully over 28 years; whatever service issues cropped up were taken care of promptly and to our satisfaction.  In the late fall of 2015 we had to do significant repairs on our deck (which we built around the hot tub a few years later) and if the original was to be replaced, that was the time to do it.  We bought the closest new model (Prodigy) to the Classic.  Dawn Scherer worked with me on the purchase; she even came over one Saturday afternoon to look over the installation spot and access to it from the street so that we could be sure there'd be no problems.  Cost was not insignificant but Olympic's "returning buyer" discount helped; in any event, it was worth it.  The delivery team arrived on time with the new tub, removed and took away the old one, and installed the new one.  Better than ever!  Our 5 year old grand-daughter is a big fan of the new tub too.  While I now get some of my water-maintenance products from Olympic's e-store, I also drive over to the Dexter Avenue store periodically to pick up what I need and have enjoyed working with the folks there; I can't remember all their names, but they know who they are...and they know me.  Nice people, excellent product, good service.

The unit was delivered when promised and located per my instructions.

They were fabulous. As a matter fact everything went smoothly. They took out the old one we had and put in a new one, cleaned the area up, when they say they were gonna deliver they were here and they coordinated the electrician to be here. It was wonderful and I would highly recommend them. Customer service was great from start to finish and they followed up to make sure everything went well. Timely manner of saying what they're gonna do, they did.

I emailed Val to get a price for a spa. She responded quickly and requested to discuss the spas over the phone. I suggested coming down to the store and she gladly encouraged that. My husband and I wet tested a few spas and then decided on the perfect one. It was delivered a little more than a week later. We've had it for almost two weeks now and we absolutely love it. When Val sold us the spa, she told us that we weren't only buying a spa, but also her knowledge on all things hot tubs and encouraged us to ask questions. A few days after we got our spa I was trying to adjust the ph and alkalinity levels in our tub. I called her with a few questions and she gladly answered them with confidence.

I would rate them A's across the board.

My main problem with Olympic is the staff; while we tried to maintain the tub, the staff at Dexter Ave. bordered on rude; the one woman we regularly worked with was abrupt; often obsessed with her physical complaints rather than our hot tub issues; regularly used vulgar language; showed disrespect toward some populations; and was generally dismissive if we did not understand what she said the first time. Basically, each time we went home with a 'solution' from her, I had to call the service department the next week to get a 'translation' of what she was saying-in other words, we couldn't get any usable advice from her. Most of our maintenance required two or three extra efforts, when really she could have helped us with one. When we decided to replace the tub, we ended up thinking the combination of the expensiveness of what Olympic had to offer (1-2 thousand dollars more than the competition) combined with the idea we would have to work with her to maintain the tub, would be a deal-breaker. We went with another company (Aquaquip) that in our experience is much easier to deal with.

Very helpful service, fair prices, good value

I called Olympic after reading some of the reports on Angie's List. I scheduled an appointment and was concerned because the person on the phone couldn't give me specific times. He said that the tech who would be coming out would call me the day before to schedule a time. Having an extremely busy schedule, I wasn't certain it was going to work out. Then the phone worker emailed me a valet service contract in case I wanted to sign up for one of their maintenance programs. After reading it, the prices were too good to pass up and I decided to give the last minute scheduling a chance. The day before the appointment I called in the morning, a bit anxious (personal burden) and the person on the phone nicely explained that the tech would be calling me any minute. Sure enough 30 minutes later Rudy called to schedule the appointment. We set up a 2 hour window that I thought meant he would arrive at the first hour of that window and leave at the last hour. Silly me, it was just like other "window" appointments. The next day when the first hour came and went, I called Rudy. He apologized for the miscommunication (even though it was my stupid mistake) and said he would be there in 30 minutes as he was just finishing up a spa fill. He arrived 30 minutes later and got out of his van just as my neighbor was rolling in her garbage. He ran over to help her. Really sweet and totally appreciated by my neighbor! The hottub we have was NOT an olympic tub but Rudy said he had worked on this specific brand before. After 30 minutes of trying to find the power source (it's on a double safety breaker, one outside and one inside the house) we had it up and running. He walked me through the 2 options of chemicals and left them with me to talk over with my husband. Since it needed to be running for a while to get it really clean, he couldn't do much that first day. But he did show me where the 2 filters were and loaded it up with chemicals to do a deep cleaning. The next time we met was 2 weeks later. I was supposed to put some chemicals in the night before but forgot and Rudy was going to call and remind me but he forgot but luckily the following day worked for both of us. He arrived right on time, drained the tub, cleaned it again, scrubbed the cover and interior and refilled it. This took a couple hours and I ran errands. After the tub was filled, he went over the filters again. There was a small leak that turned out to be a difficult seal on the filter cover, but he fixed it and told me I might want to order another one eventually. He told me what chemicals to add, how often, when, and walked me through them. We chose the Silk chemical treatment since we aren't really fans of strong chemicals but know it's important to keep a clean tub. When Rudy presented me the bill, it was exactly what was originally quoted and also included enough chemicals to last for months.

The project went very smoothly. They were very professional navigating the large, unwieldy object into place.

They were amenable to negotiation on the price and luckily I got in on their 30th anniversary sale. They were prompt, efficient, and reliable. It was going to be a surprise for our 30th wedding anniversary and they were absolutely wonderful with keeping it a secret. I would not hesitate to refer someone to this company, who honestly take care and are not at all pushy.

INFORMATIVE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL SALES STAFF. SERVICE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT IN ALL CASES. QUALITY OF THE TUB ITSELF HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH THE BRAND OF THE TUB (HOT SPRING) AND THE RETAILER (OLYMPIC HOT TUB).

THEY HAVE ALWAYS CALLED US RIGHT BACK, AND WHEN THEY NEEDED TO COME TO OUR HOUSE, THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND POLITE.
