I wanted a frameless shower door enclosure for my corner shower. Three companies came out to give me bids, and Northwest Shower Door was the only one who spent the time to meticulously measure (since not all walls are perfectly straight) and make adjustments so that the glass walls and door would fit perfectly. They also had to make adjustments in measuring for large beveled mirror that was going over the 6' double sink vanity. I was really impressed with the quality and professionalism of this company and would recommend them without reservation.

Excellent. For the first shower, the glass was ready ahead of schedule. For the second shower, a part was backordered from one of their secondary vendors, and so the original tentative install date had to be postponed - BUT they called and let me know about the delay. The installers were very professional and friendly, and cleaned everything up before they left.

My elderly parents bought a shower enclosure from Northwest Shower Door to complete a bathroom model to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and host 10 family members from around the world. Dave said it would be 3-4 weeks to installation. After my parents paid under that agreement and waited 3 weeks, they called to find installation won't happen until almost 5 1/2 weeks. This is after the "big day" which was disclosed at the measuring phase. My parents will have to share their main bathroom with 10 other people as they celebrate their anniversary thanks to the delay. Shame to take advantage of them and ruin what should be a happy family event Northwest Shower Door.
Response from Northwest Shower Door
"Dear [Member Name Removed], We are sincerely sorry to hear this had such an impact on your family. We are unaware of the job you're referring to since it was your parents and there wasn't a reference to the name or job. As with all things construction related, their can be longer lead-times during peak seasons. The Greater Seattle Area has certainly been extremely busy these recent months. We always try to keep our customers apprised of the installation lead-time. We never meant to mislead or take advantage of anyone. We strive to provide quality products in a timely manner. Please feel free to contact us directly so that we can try to make this right for you and your parents. Sincerely, The Northwest Shower Door Team"

Very well. They were fast, on time. Good follow up. Professional. The only thing I would add is if you are looking for ultra high fancy doors, you might want to consider the Kohler signature store or at least looking at them so you have a better sense of what you'd like.

They did a tremendous job, taking great care with the small details. It looks great and has been working flawlessly now for nearly a year. I'm in the process of another job and will certainly use them again! Compared to some shops you could hire, they were a bit more expensive, but you certainly get a premium installation with them and it seems well worth it given the costs of fixing mistakes.

They do glass doors and shower doors. We got a new shower door from them. Overall, we ended up with a good product but it took them three trips. The first time, they put it in they did not put a metal lip on the bottom so the first time we took a shower all the water ran out on the floor. We called them and they came back out and they put the metal track on. It was interesting because my husband was near the whole time and he heard one of the workers ask if we needed the track and the other one said no, no, no. I know it looks like it but they don't need it. But we did need it. They actually had to come out a third time because the door swing was not right and then ended up putting in a whole new door.

We solicited two bids for this shower door. We decided on Northwest Shower Doors because we were impressed with Dave's professionalism. He was very knowledgeable and helpful to us in deciding what door to choose. We also did our research on Angie's List in making our decision to use his company. NWSD was not the cheaper of the two bids. As you read this review, let me point out what I believe their problem appears to be. They've been doing this for a long time and they've established a working pattern. It goes something like this: Bid, charge 50% deposit, schedule install, install, charge final 50% of bid. They don't do anything else outside of that pattern. Customer service is non-existent. On the day of install, the installers were an hour late (but that's okay, read the fine print, they're allowed a specific amount of time to be late, as this allows their installers to not have to make a courtesy call). It had been raining that day but the installers didn't notice their wet shoes on our hardwood floors and made no effort to put on booties or lay down a mat. They moved efficiently and within an hour or so had the doors installed. When they reached the last door strip they needed to install, they asked me if I wanted them to install it -- it was an added strip of rubber installed on top of a plastic track already mounted on the shower curb as an added feature to help keep the water from going out the bottom of the door. I looked at the plastic track and told them it didn't matter where they put the added rubber strip as the plastic track was mounted in a way where the water was going to run down the door and out on the wrong side of the plastic track right onto the bathroom floor. They ignored my comment, installed the plastic strip on top of the mis-installed plastic track anyway and left. 24 hours later when we used the shower for the first time -- sure enough, there was about 1 to 2 cups of water on the bathroom floor. I called and explained the whole story to their scheduler and as difficult as it was to try to explain the plastic strip over the phone, I offered to send a photo. I sent a photo that evening and didn't get an acknowledgement of my email or hear back from them for 3 days. I finally called them back and was told the scheduler was working on getting someone out there to fix the problem. Two more days passed and I called again and another coworker told me she'd spoken with the scheduler and she was working on it. A weekend passed and two more days and still no word. Meanwhile, so we could use the shower, we had re-installed the shower curtain on the inside of the shower doors so we could use the shower. After calling again, we finally got a date. The guy that fixed it claimed anyone could plainly see the track had been installed wrong. Took him about 20 to repair something that took them 2 weeks to come and fix. No one ever apologized for anything and this company never initiated a single phone call or email to communicate with us throughout this entire ordeal.

One of the original shower doors that came with the house when I bought it 5+ years ago had not been great from the beginning, and had gotten progressively worse so that the door wouldn't shut all the way.  Rather than try to track down the vendor that my builder used, I decided to start fresh with Northwest Shower Door.  Everyone was very professional, and the job was complete - from estimate to installation - faster than I thought it would be.  Not only do I have a very nice new shower door, I also finally have one that closes again.  I should have called Northwest Shower Door a long time ago.  Installation was especially smooth, very thorough, and they even take away the old door.

The job turned out nice. I wasn't there but my husband was. It looked clean when I got home. The first time they didn't do something right. So they had to come back and redo it. But they made it right and it turned out real nice. My husband called around for different prices.

The people involved were wonderful to work with. They had good suggestions for the dimensions of the glass panels and doors. Throughout the process, they were punctual and showed great care in the work they did. All three installations were completed on time and on budget. The enclosures look and work as good, if not better, than expected.

We were particularly impressed with our last contact, which illustrates that they stand behind their work. In July 2014, we noticed that one of the handles was loose. We called Northwest Shower Door and they sent a sales person out to take a look at the problem - the rationale being that if a salesman who was already out on route could remedy the issue there would be no cost to us. He discovered that there was damage to the retaining screw, which was beyond his ability to address, and promptly scheduled a repair person to come out. The repair was completed a few days later (took less than a half hour), including the installation of a new handle. We were not charged for the call or the new handle even though the warranty period had lapsed.

A technician came to take measurements per our design. The current shower did not have a seat but we had enough space on the bathtub surround that a seat could be added to the shower. The technician measured for this design. They provided a quote that included hardware (in detail), anti-bacterial silicone, easy clean coating for the glass. We chose this vendor because of their professionalism. The quote was detailed and clearly defined deposits, etc.
The installers arrived on time and did a very nice installation. The grout was professional and clean. Area was clean of any installation materials on their exit. We have now hired them to fabricate and install our mirrors.

They arrived on time, finished on time, told us everything we needed to know about taking care of the shower to ensure it dries properly, etc. Looks amazing!

Our bathroom remodel needed a glass sliding door for our bathtub so we shopped around including NW Shower Door.  The showroom had good examples and the sales person we spoke with was friendly and helpful.  We ordered a door to our liking and an installer came out and took measurements, noting our bathtub was not level but assured us this was not a problem.  The door arrived and was installed without a hitch.  The level issue was accomodated for and is not noticeable.  Overall we love the door and it is exactly what we were looking for in quality, style, and complete service.  Cost as listed above is definitely approximate as I don't recall exactly what  the cost was.

Made an appointment in-store. David Greer came out to look at problem, calling twice ahead of time to adjust expected time of arrival. Problem was accurately diagnosed and repaired within a half hour. Service was highly competent and professional. I would strongly recommend NW Shower Door.
