I will never hire them for tree services based on what I just experienced at a gas station. People who act horribly to others work for this service. I would not want these people on my property near my loved ones.
Description of Work: So I'm waiting to get gas on the way to drop my daughter off for bible camp. .a tree crew is gassing all their stuff up a truck ahead of me is fueling but I see pump open ahead of him. Someone else is fueling ahead of that open pump. I have gas door open, cap out and a guy asks me to move my car so he can pull forward. There's nowhere to pull forward to as a car is fueling there already and frankly I think quite selfish to tell someone to leave so he can use that pump TOO all of a sudden? I say no I'll be a minute.( keep in mind the car ahead of me still fueling too). So on his foremans ? command blocks the driver door of my car with the cab of his truck. Then when I was done fueling I climbed over the passenger seat to leave and he hurries to start his truck and tries to leave before me which would have side swiped my car. I am a disabled woman neither the climbing nor the trauma were good things for me.

The tree removal went fine, but they only removed half the stump and left the other jagged half sticking out. They also did not tell us that they did not finish the stump, instead hiding the jagged remains under a pile of sawdust and charging us full price. After the discovery,I called them repeatedly to finish the job. Repeatedly, they promised to come by and fix it,but no one ever came. The last time I spoke to the owner he decided that he wasn't responsible since a very small part of the large stump was under my deck. Of course, he never suggested that there might be a problem when quoting the job or when taking our money. I would have greatly preferred to have the stump left whole. It would have looked better and saved me money. Now I have an ugly half-stump in the middle of my yard and I paid Northern Arborculture about $300 more than the other quotes received due to the added stump grinding service.
Description of Work: They removed a large cedar tree from our yard and were also paid for stump grinding.

Response from Northern Arboriculture
Hi Customer. Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the misunderstanding about your stump, I should have been more clear about the accessibility issue when I began the work. I had a new salesman start last February (Carl) - if he bid your job than he may not have known we couldn't remove the entire stump. If it was me who bid the work, then I apologize again for the oversight. We will send you a check for $300.

I am the president of our small HOA, a sixteen unit older building surrounded with mature landscaping. Tim and his crew have come out to our building a few times this year to remove trees and prune others. Each time we called they were responsive to our calls, gave ballpark pricing over the phone (refined once they actually see the work) and showed up when they said they would. Tim not only makes quick work of the jobs, he offers good advice - specifically how to get the most out of our limited landscaping budget by teaching us how to prune the smaller trees ourselves. The next time we need an arborist we'll definitely call on Northern Aboriculture. Excellent service and good pricing.
Description of Work: Over the past year we've had a couple large trees removed - a black walnut and an aging corkscrew willow - and had others pruned.

Really don't have time. From start to finish they didn't slow down. They have the appropriate equipment for close quarter tree removal.
Description of Work: The precision of tree felling was phenomenal. Tim has a quick and efficient team of employees that hit the floor running. Attention to safety and cleanup were excellent.

Tim Waterman came to our house to make the bid and he was very informative, knowledgeable, and professional. He gave me a couple of options including a way to save the tree although it had been severely damaged. His bid seemed a bit high but I had heard good things about the company from a friend that used them and wanted to have the job done right. We scheduled the work and the crew of 3 performed the work in a few hours. The tree isn't pretty, it had to be reduced by about 1/3 of its crown to save it from further wind damage, but it will survive for a while longer until we can decide on, plant, and grow a replacement. For now the birds and squirrels are happy and we still have shade on our deck.
Description of Work: Performed crown reduction of a very large and storm damaged Ponderosa Pine, trimmed wound in pine from limb loss, removed all debris.

They started out just fine, the price seemed fair and the time frame for the job perfect. They showed up and started work, soon huge tree limbs were hitting my house and roof, rocks were flying chipping the paint from my house. Then they quit and said they would be back. I had to call several times before they returned to finish the job. As I removed the dirt and mess from one of the stumps I saw that it still had huge roots that I could not dig up myself. I called several times and received no reply. I had to pay someone else to finish the job.
Description of Work: I had three large trees removed and the stumps grounded.

A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. STARTED OFF GREAT - WAS A GREAT PRICE, AND THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY DURING BUSY TIME. ONLY FINISHED 1/2 OF THE JOB THEN DISAPPEARED FOR 8 WEEKS! AFTER 6 WEEKS I HAD A FRIEND FINISH JOB AND CLEAN UP, ONLY TO HAVE A WORKER FROM NORTHERN SHOW UP 2 WEEKS LATER DEMANDING FULL PAYMENT. WHEN REFUSED, THE OWNER T. WATERMAN SHOWED UP AT 8:30 PM AT NIGHT AND DEMANDED PAYMENT BY YELLING AT ME SO LOUD MY NEIGHBORS COMMENTED THE NEXT DAY, AS WELL AS PHYSICALLY THREATENING ME! NOT A PERSON TO DO BUSINESS WITH...
Description of Work: REMOVED LARGE TREE NEXT TO MY HOME THAT HAD BECOME A DANGER TO NEIGHBOR'S HOME.
