The man in charge of the North Sails loft came out personally to evaluate the situation and do measurements. He was very helpful. It took awhile for them to get to this project. When they did, the result was excellent. The sail had to be cut to an odd trapezoidal shape. The corners have been reinforced heavily around the grommets. They provided the hardware for mounting. They were up front about not being in the business of putting up two uprights on the outer side of the deck for attaching the sail, which I had done by another excellent contractor. It is relatively easy to get up and down and has served its purpose extremely well. The nautical look goes well with the house and neighborhood. The whole project was easily a third of the cost of a retractable awning.
