In the process they broke the motor and didn't attach the blade well. It flew off my mower on first use after repair. Motor made horrible rumbling noise. This is a pretty new mower. Somewhere in the repair. The broke the bearing pack so the motor wobbled and was rendered useless. I took the mower back. They didn't call me for weeks and the I called them and they said I needed a new motor. I explained that they broke the motor so they get to fix it. I was told they'll call me right back. I waited two weeks and no response. I called them and was told they they will take no responsibility for the damage they caused. They then went on to accuse me of pulling some kind of mower repair scam on them. Really delightful conversation. This is without a doubt the most incompetent shop with whom I had dealt. Bad people. Bad service. No idea how to service electric mowers. Avoid this place like the plague.

They were excellent. I will definitely go there again.

I really liked the people. They were really nice. It took longer than they told me to finish the job. I would use them again, but not at their busiest time. They offer good customer service. They took twice as much as the time they told it was going to be. I would give them a good grade. They did a good job. I would tell others not to take the tools during the spring season, and go ahead to use them. They said they finish the work within 2 weeks, but they took 6 weeks.

When I first arrived had to get someone's attention in back to get help. Dropped of the mower and they said '2 weeks & we'll call'. After over 3 weeks I called and they said 'it will be done this week & we'll call'. It was over a month until mower was fixed. They say & list on door Tuesday thru Saturday & hours. When I stopped by to pick up on a Saturday during open hours, no one in sight, not a light on, no out to lunch sign - nothing. Although mower now runs, from drop off to pick up was not impressed.

Poorly handled when I dropped off the equipment (ignored by counter personnel). Said they would call when items were done. They did not. Did not tell me there would be a long delay. I called them after 2 weeks, they said it would be done in another 5 days. I called them again 7 days later, they said it would be yet another 5 days. They couldn't tell me if the part was in because mechanic was sick. (Don't they have any records?) I gave up and picked up the mower to take it to another shop.

My lawnmower was not working and I had no idea what was wrong with it. When I took it in, they estimated it would take them 2 1/2 weeks to get to it. (Another company estimated 3 weeks.) It took exactly that amount of time. Fortunately, it needed just minor maintenance. They left a message telling me when it was ready, but I didn't know what work they performed or how much it cost until I picked it up.

Unlike the other regional repair shops who don't take the time to utter more than 2 or 3 sentence fragments over the phone and who are overall rather noncommittal, North City Mowers and Saws was willing to talk in depth about the possible causes of- and costs to fix- our broken Honda lawn mower. Apparently, the clutch on this $1,000 model (which we inherited) is notoriously bad. The cost to repair is usually $400 + labor and tax. North City not only fixed the clutch, they replaced the jagged and dull blade, adjusted the carburetor, and did overall maintenance for just over $117.00. And it only took 2 weeks. Great job, very personable, and a pleasure to do business with.

It went well and we hope it works if and when we need it.

The mechanic took the time to do the brief repair while I waited. I would never go anywhere else for service work.

Took the chain to them March 31st. They said it would be ready April 3rd. They left a message on my phone April 3rd informing me of the chain being ready. Did not pick the chain up until April 7th. Very pleasant young lady waited on me. I have had them do work before and have been satisfied with work performed.

I didn't tell them I was a member of Angie's at anytime. They were professional, did what they said they would do in time and what they quoted, and left message that the mower was ready. I thought the price was fair, and they were very polite and helpful when I went to pick the mower up.

THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB OF REPAIR, BUT DO NOT CLEAN THE MOWER. THEY CALLED ME AT HOME AS SOON AS IT WAS DONE. THEY HAVE AN OLD DOG THAT ADDS CHARACTER.
