My Mac Hero

I couldn't get my '09 Macbook Pro to charge up or turn on. The "Geniuses" at the Apple Mac Genius bar took my Mac laptop to the back and told me it was "dead" and not worth fixing, since Apple had stopped producing that logic board. I was guided to buy a new Mac laptop, which I did and they offered to dispose of my old Macbook for me (which I didn't.) A little later in the year, I brought my old Macbook into my workplace -offering it to be parted out since they use that type of computer there. Mysteriously the tech gal found that she could get it up and going. On the advice of the "Yelp" comments and after talking to the JP, owner and worker-bee on of My Mac Hero, I decided to give it a 2nd diagnosis. He kept it overnight at his workshop. He did some testing, opened it up to look for H20 or other damage, cleaned it where it needed, and when I picked it up the next day- I had a working Mac and only a $55 bill. He said, "Every now and then they shut down for seemingly no reason and they need some time to come back to life again. You have a Mac that seems to be in good order and will probably last a couple more years." I was very beholden to JP. The team (a husband and wife) are very good at communicating & JP seems to be very knowledgable, talented, and trustworthy. I'd recommend him to anyone with an Apple product, for sure.
