 + -1 moreThe pre-bid estimate came in substantially higher than we anticipated for a melamine product. We notified Robert that we would need to substantially reduce the cost, and gave some options of reducing the scope of work to bring the cost down. Robert revised the estimate and made an appointment to come out to our house to finalize the bid, and take measurements. After reviewing the options that were removed, and putting in the "must have" options for us, the final figure after tax remained around $7000.00. We informed Robert that this was still high, and we would have to wait and see what we could afford after the flooring bids came in. We were unable to purchase the product and informed Robert the day the final floor bid came in. We indicated we were still interested but would have to wait for additional funds. Instead of maintaining our contact, Robert chose to send a rather rude e-mail indicating that he was no longer interested in working with us.
Description of Work: We visited the MurphyRooms showroom and discussed our project with Robert Nelson. A few weeks later, based on our measurements, Robert Nelson prepared a pre-bid to install a Murphy bed and some cabinetry in our recreation room. The product was white melamine, or wood toned melamine at additional cost.
