the process went great! it was quick and efficient. The guys finished the deck in about 8 days and it looks so much better!

Modernized Exteriors did our deck remodel. Originally we had a old cedar deck that was falling apart. We opted to go with a composite decking with a wood grain and use a darker border color. We had no idea about using two different colors but it turned out looking great. we appreciated the attention to detail and the customer service by the crew and the project managers.

One of the best contractors I have worked with both professionally and personally. All expectations were met and all promises were fulfilled. Very good craftsmanship and a fair price. This job was very complicated and they met all challenges without costly change orders or compromising the schedule.

Our initial quote consultation was very informative and went really well. When the crew showed up (when they said they would), they were professional and got the job done quickly and on time. There were a few minor details I was concerned about at the end of the project, but those were quickly remedied after I communicated. All in all a great experience! Looking forward to siding the other two sides of our home, with this provider, once we gather more cash :)

Modernized Exteriors has a friendly staff and gave us so many options for our new deck. They redesigned our old one with a much better use of space, and a great new look. The new deck has great construction, and makes our house feel new. We were also impressed with how fast the demo and construction phases went. In the end they gave us the deck we were imagining and we look forward to using it this summer.

All winter our siding stressed me out every time I pulled up to my home. We have the LP siding that was notorious for failing in this rainy weather. The fact is we knew it needed to be done and this summer! We knew it was going to be expensive and without taking equity out of the house we assumed it would be a stretch. Doing research online we assumed that for the full fiber cement siding replacement on our home we would be looking give or take about 30k for the siding replacement them maybe another $3,000 to paint on our 2100 sq ft rambler Cameron came out and was very knowledgable. we took a detailed walk around the house which the other estimate we received didn't do. he was here all of 10 minutes and said he would send us a number (which never came, we waited two weeks and wish we hadn't) We decided to choose the company that spent the time with us to make sure we got what we were looking for! During the walk around the house cameron pointed out some problem areas and gave us a couple great suggestions for a belly band and shingles in the peaks to give the home some character. unlike the first company he was able to give us a bid while he was out at our home. He gave us a 15 day bid and also encouraged us to move forward the same day by a discount they referred to as the efficiency discount. while going over the number the biggest thing was they offered us some financing options that not even our local credit union could offer. We opted to go for the efficiency discount since we know we needed it done and also take advantage of the financing they offered. We secured a great rate with a fair payment that allowed us to get what we wanted. If we didn't do the financing to be honest we wouldn't have been able to afford the siding so it was a big deal for us. Modernized exteriors was a couple thousand dollars ($4,000) higher than the pervious bid but we feel wit was worth every penny with the financing and that we got the much higher rated company. The siding was great and communication via texting was seamless Two thumbs up

We recently had Modernized Exterior complete a deck remodel, new roof and gutters on our home. They were professional with incredible attention to detail from the time they arrived to talk to us about the processes throughout all of the actual construction. The cost was competitive with other companies we researched. They were able to roll all the jobs I needed into one cost as well as assisting us with reasonable financing. Upon completion, Nick came back out personally to see that everything was done to our liking. Prior to leaving Nick walked the grounds to ensure the area was clean and free of any miscellaneous debris. Simply put, this experience was above and beyond our expectations.

They said they were going to come out and do the work and they didn’t start until 3 weeks after they said they were going to start. Overall, the craftsmanship and everything all was excellent. It was around $15,000. I would consider using them again, but I would also look and see what other options I had.

I am very pleased with the new cedar deck they built for me to replace our old cedar deck we already knew what we wanted was a cedar deck and they gave me a very reasonable price. the new decking looks really good

Modernized Exteriors was our second bid. We talked to another company that had a special deal here on Angies List and we were not very impressed. The other company showed up 45 minutes late and smelled like cigarettes so terribly I had to stand downwind. Modernized Exteriors happened to show up 15 minutes early although they called and asked if that would be okay. It was a younger guy that showed up but he absolutely knew what he was talking about. He gave us suggestions we had never even thought about or considered and it made complete sense with they style of our home. We then went inside and looked at the iPad to choose our color. There was a couple different levels of composite and of course we chose the more expensive one but that was really the color that caught my husbands eye. The price they had was more expensive than the first company who I won't name their name but we really had confidence in Modern Exteriors to do a good job. The deck is all done now and looks excellent. In the process the company even helped fix the gate to my fence which has been broken for the last 5 years! Feels so good to have it shut and lock now!

Excellent. After I called them they came out and gave me a estimate. They sat down and showed me my options and different pricing ranges. The 30 year shingles would have definitely been okay for the house although we were very intrigued by the triple layer 50 year shingles even they were more expensive. once we were done looking over options and pricing we took advantage of their same day discount of free gutters that they were offering. Two weeks later the job started and it took them 3 days to fully complete the job after all the cleanup was done. We really appreciated the communication from this company and even though we only received one bid we were extremely impressed with the process.

Our home in seattle had kind a a traditions early 1900s vibe with the cedar shingles. We wanted to keep with the look of the home and use a shingle but the new cedar they use is nothing like the old stuff and is very expensive. Cameron suggested the James Hardie fiber cement shingle panels. it goes up fast, has a 30 year warranty, and although it was thousands of dollars more expensive than the lesser cedar shingles we felt it was a no brainer to go with the product because of the pre painted material, the look and the 30 year warranty. With that being said we did use the hardie lap siding on the sides of our home and under the windows in the front but all in all we couldn't be happier. I live in Seattle and would be happy to show any future clients the final product of my home. Between you and me the company gave me a $200 marketing credit for using their home as a show home when someone in the area wants to drive by!!! don't tell them that though :)

I reviewed this company with a all A rating and price was a B.   They did a outstanding job I only gave Modernized a B in price because they came in right in the middle of the three bids we received.  Although in my opinion cheaper is never better.  

Modernized Exteriors replaced the roof on our home in renton.  our original roof was in very bad shape, the company did a very good job educating us on our options and making sure we were getting the right roof that would protect our home.  The roofing crew was very efficient and did a excellent job working diligently until our job was complete.  The entire roof only took 3 days!  

We were very pleased with the communication and the new deck makes our house look new again! the only problem is now that we have to new deck we can see all of the other exterior remodeling projects we need to get started this summer! Once the deck was complete we had them order up 3 new vinyl windows. We are going to do the windows a couple at a time as we can afford them

We got the idea for the design of our new outdoor living area from one of the pictures on Cameron, our estimator, iPad. we chose to go with a new composite deck with a peaked finished patio cover over the top with skylights and lighting. Although we did have to wait a couple months to get started Modernized Exteriors did it the right way and took care of the city and the city inspector every step of the way. With the finished product and the help of some of the outdoor patio heaters we are now able to use the deck almost year round. We are happy clients of Mod Exteriors and would be happy to show the deck to future clients or maybe even email a couple pictures

the process went well. We got into the schedule when the estimator came our and chose our decking at that time as well. The estimator brought samples of different grades of decking so we could make a decision and showed us a bunch of different pictures on the iPad so we could see what it would look like completely built. The attention to detail was excellent. Since we went with the composite decking they had hidden screws so they didn't show and the deck looks super clean. THANKS GUYS!

The sales rep was very friendly and all, but I found him a little over powering. I think they were more commercial than home sales.

The guy who showed up--very nice and all--sketched a picture after taking measurements. No 'design' was delivered.

4 weeks ago my wife and myself contracted with Modernized Exteriors to do the siding on our home. We chose to go with a James Hardie Fiber board as that is what they recommended and after looking online it seems it holds up great in the rainy winters we have here. Two weeks after signing the contract the crew began tearing the old siding off our house and prepping for the new fiber cement boards. Not only was the siding workers extremely respectful, they were on time and extremely hard workers. the Project took about 2 1/2 weeks to complete and it looks like we have a brand new home! Thank you Modernized Exteriors for all the hard work!

Never happened. Representative showed up at home. Had no tools or equipment to accommodate the inspection that was described and purchased. Only focus was to encourage me to buy a New Roof.

I knew we were having a problem with the chimneys but Clinton did not mention them.

Amazingly well. They were prompt, responsive, honest, and hard-working. Their work was super professional and they clearly cared about quality and customer service at every step. Even on days when they had just one guy working on demolition, that individual worked super hard with only a few breaks. The weather was terrible during the period they were building the deck, but they were there every day, no matter how cold, windy, or rainy. It was especially great that, once they started on our project, they were basically there every day until it was finished. And not just for a few hours, but for the whole day. Kevin -- who was the supervisor on the project, was super professional and reliable. His communication was excellent and his craftsmanship was top notch. We've had lots of contractors work on various projects on our home, and none of them have delivered as high quality service and results as these guys did. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire them again, or recommend them to a close friend.
