my husband and I chose to go with the tiger deck and stain the deck after ourselves to save a little money. Washington's Best decks did a great job with ours it turned out beautiful!

The permit process went great which was more of a hassle than we had expected but Washington's best did all the coordinating and running back and forth with the city to make sure we gat exactly what we wanted. We also opted to go for a aluminum roofing structure over half the deck so we can bbq in the rainy months and we really like it. the permit process took about 8 weeks and the architect and engineer did a great job

Washingtons Best came out the next day after we called them and educated us on the different materials and prices we could use for our decking remodeling project. Given the fact that our house is a brick house and about 100 years old we really didnt want to put a plastic deck on our home we felt it would look out of place. The estimator showed us pictures of hardwood decking called Tigerwood and we fell in love. The deck came out great and we absolutely love it

We decided to save the money and stain the deck ourselves and choose the cedar decking with a kind of hybrid railing system. Washingtons Best blew us away on price and quality of workmanship. Not to say they were the cheapest company but they definitely delivered what they promised. Ill be handing out Camerons business cards from now on.

Washingtons Best first came out to to give us a estimate on our deck and we hit it off right away. The estimator had a lot of knowledge and gave us some great ideas that we ended up using on our deck. Throughout the conversation he mentioned that not only do they do decks and siding but they also do Roofing and windows as well. We ended up signing up with them that day and received a 10 percent discount for doing both projects and signing up when they were out there to make it efficient. Everything that the estimator promised happened and happened in a timely manner. the cuts were clean the workers worked hard and fast and were on time. We originally wanted a composite deck. When this company came out to measure he offered the idea of choosing a hardwood deck to compliment the older style of our seattle home. We were skeptical at first but once we got their numbers for the hardwood they came in at the same price and their angles list competitors for a composite deck. We obviously chose the tiger wood and we feel the price we paid was much more than fair for the high end hardwood decking and railing we purchased. Lead installer and crew were the best in the west! Well this company came through for us last year and Im sorry to say we told them we would right them a A+ review and failed to. They followed up with us recently through a mailer and we wanted to return the favor and finally tell the angles list world how great of a job they did. The deck and railings came out looking marvelous and the installers really went above and beyond and even fixed a couple siding boards for us. We are excited that we got their mailer in the mail because we are looking at doing our siding this summer now which was the plan all along. Given the pricing on the deck we will be having this company out do do our siding!

My husband and I were not experts by any means in the decking material side of things. Knowing what was available was important to us. We had started off thinking do a composite deck just like everyone else. There were a couple composites that we enjoyed. Every other contractor we talked to just wanted to sell us on a composite and be done with it. When Define Decks came out what they did a really great job with was show us all our options and show pictures of those options on the iPad which was super helpful. When we saw a completed picture of a Hardwood deck (Tigerwood) with the hidden fastener system we were absolutely blown away. If was slightly more expensive than the composite but worth every penny. To think we could have settled with a composite deck if we had not talked to defined decks is kind of scary because we love it so much!

They replaced our roof and it was fast and efficient. price was about 10k for a 30 year roofing shingle. PAAbco was the brand of roofing. Work took 3 days

Amazing. The nice folks at the office were very kind. The Company was efficient and polite. The attention to detail was great. James Hardie Siding and a new cedar deck. Did these projects last month while getting ready to sell the house and we got every penny back during the sale.

My wife and I chose to do the siding and the deck at the same time. They were both original to when the house was built and this way everything would be flashed and dried in properly. For the Siding the obvious choice was to use the James Hardie Color Plus. For the Decking we chose Timbertech Tigerwood color with Aluminum railings. The project was a big one and was definitely expensive. The estimators that came out took their time with us to make sure we chose the right color decking and railing bringing with them samples so we could see how they would look together. Two weeks after the contracts were signed the crew started with tearing off the siding first. My wife Ruth and I absolutely love the color. It is a composite that is made to look like a hardwood and just came out amazing. We wanted to thank the crew for showing up on time and working hard every day until it was complete. What a Difference!

needed to give our deck a facelift and also wanted to be able to use it more in the rain. When the estimators came out we came up with a design that would keep the current framing of the deck, replace the boards with composite boards and replace the railings, and finally add a white aluminum patio cover over the top to make it easy to grill in the fall and winter. We have been using the deck this last couple mild weeks and we absolutely love it. will post pics soon once I upload them!

We chose to go with Modernized Exteriors because they took the time during the appointment to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. We went through a iPad and were able to get a extremely good idea what our new design would look like and got to see all the colors to make sure we made the right choice. The construction of the deck took a couple weeks and went just like the estimators said. From start to finish this was a excellent experience.

My wife first contracted this outfit due to their great reputation on this site Angies List. They had won the super service award for quality and customer service on siding and decking. They did a amazing job. We will post pics soon!

the paint on our recently purchased home was in rough shape. We knew that replacing the siding would drastically change the look of the house so we were extremely excited. We changed up the look a bit by adding the option of stone around the first 4 feet around the garage and shingles in a couple spots for the finishing touches. the project costed about $37,000 for everything after the stone and new gutters. the house looks brand new now.

Used modernized exteriors to completely redo the old siding on our home and replace with james hardie siding. Everything looks great. Iron Gray with white trim on corners and the windows. tho thumbs up !!!!!!!!

amazing the install was quick and painless and we love our new roof over our deck. The installers completed the job in just two days. 200 S.F. white aluminum patio cover installed for about $6,350. We love the new deck cover.

great they built us a deck prior and then came back prepped and stained it for the winter. It was $5600 after we tipped the crew

first the estimators came out and evaluated the structure of the deck. As we had already thought it needed some work to get it back to life where we could then install composite decking and railing. We agreed on a price that day with a discount and got into their schedule once the work began they reinforced our frame and tore off all the old decking and railings and hauled it away new decking was installed then finally the railings being able to reinforce the framing saved up a lot of money and the deck still looks brand new. They mentioned they started staining and bringing old decks and porches back to life so we will use them next to refinish our front porch. The crew was friendly and on time and worked hard throughout the entire process.

This last summer we hired Modernized Exteriors to build us a brand new cedar deck with railings and it turned out looking excellent. As does with all cedar desk with the rain it started losing its new cedar deck shine. We meant to put a semi transparent stain on it but with our kids we were just too busy and also nervous because we didn't want to do it wrong and mess up the deck. We recently wanted to make sure this got handled so we called them back and asked how much it would cost to come back out pressure wash it bleach and clean the wood and put a deck stain on it. due to the railing and it being a second level deck it was a lot of work and they were able to fit us into their schedule about 3 weeks later. The deck ended up looking new again and we are so happy we had them do it! All in all I believe after staining the deck and giving the crew a good tip we spent about $5,600 which is a small price to pay to ensure our 30,000 deck lasts!
