Michael's Landscaping-A Better Pruning

I have Michael trim my trees every year. He’s kept my trees looking beautiful for over 20 years now, and each time he does a marvelous job. He’s professional, courteous, honest and reasonable every single time! And, he doesn’t stop until the work is complete to my satisfaction.

Michael was incredibly responsive and very accommodating in scheduling the removal of a partially downed and damaged tree from my backyard. This was my second occasion to use his services and both times he was clear in explaining the necessary work and the costs involved. He and his crew did a thorough job and left the job site in better shape than when they arrived.

Michael is extremely knowledgeable, and works fast with excellent results. He left my trees looking so natural, you can’t even see where he cut (see picture). They look gorgeous. Also he was able to fix a tree that I was about to have removed, because it was causing problems on my roof and the neighbor’s house. I’ve hired Michael two years in a row, and will hire again.

Quick conversation, a visit to get a quote, and he was gone, promising a date. Showed up on that day (I wasn't there), perform work as expected, cleaned up after themselves, and left, and invoiced me. Everything went exactly as promised.

Michael called me back right away and came over to do an estimate and walk through my yard. It was clear he was very knowledgeable and was able to do the work within the next couple of days after meeting. I was impressed with the work done and very happy with Michael's level of communication and professionalism. He conferred with me on what I liked or didn't like/want in the yard, before he did things. His pricing is very fair and I felt well worth the value. I would highly recommend Michael's Landscaping.

Michael was great. He and his son pruned the strawberry tree first. It took a little over an hour, and then he set up his ladder for the camellia. Unfortunately, he was then stung by a bald-faced hornet, and discovered there was a hornet nest in the camellia. I had an exterminator out the next day to deal with the nest, and when Michael returned from vacation, he came back and pruned the camellia. For the first time in about 5 years we can actually see the front of our house. We were very happy with his work on both trees, and he was very easy to work with.

Michael did a fantastic job pruning some medium sized trees I have. I had him come out last fall, and I've been really pleased to see them fill in this spring. Michael has a wealth of experience and gives very good advice. He also pruned a bunch of other plants on my property, as well as put in some bark. Everything has turned out great. I'd hire Michael again.

Michael did a great job removing a large Mountain Ash tree that was within 4 feet of our house and directly next to a fence and neighbors yard. The work was done quickly and professionally and the price was very reasonable compared to a larger local company. Other work performed was pruning of a couple laurel hedges which also turned out very nice. Michael was very quick to respond and give an estimate and started work the next day. Would definitely hire again for tree removal or pruning.

Michael was quick to respond to my query and began the work within a few days of the initial contact. I have a small, landscaped yard with various plants, shrubs, and trees that need regular maintenance. I left everything in Michael's hands and he took care of everything: weeding, cleaning, pruning, removing some dead trees, laying down weed retardant and mulch, and educating me on basic maintenance. The end result is a beautiful, well-shaped set of trees and shrubs and a yard that has clearly been professionally maintained. I have zero complaints, as Michael works hard and is very reliable, and I will continue to hire Michael to help ensure that the yard remains in good condition.

Michael is super responsive. Every time I've called him to work on something, he is at my property the same day or the very next day. He always gets the job done quickly and cleanly, and his prices are reasonable. If you need pruning done, Michael is the man for the job!

We were trying to decide whether to remove a tree or just trim it back. He was very knowledgeable on the benefits and issues that could arise from both options. Did a great job removing tree and cleaning up afterwards. Definitely would use them again.

I have hired Michael on a couple of occasions. He helped to get my yard under control by removing a significant amount of blackberries and doing some much needed pruning. Most recently, he completed some maintenance pruning of very tall bushes that were blocking my neighbors view. Michael is very responsive and can come to my house on short notice (no waiting a couple of weeks). He has a lot of good ideas around how best to approach a project and provides insights into how something might grow back in once the work is complete. I will continue to hire him for my major yard work!

Michael did an EXCELLENT job. All three trees look great, are trimmed back to what they should be and are much safer. He did a thorough clean up and hauled all the debris away immediately. He is exceptionally AFFORDABLE! Other companies wanted 3x as much for the same work. We are EXTREMELY PLEASED and highly recommend him.

Michael was quick to respond with a good quote. He got right at it, cutting back and digging it out. The grass has sharp blades and is a pain to remove. We were happy with the result.

The work has been done as promised

Called Michael on a Wednesday, he came over the same day to give me an estimate. Estimate was itemized and very fair price. He came out two days later to do the job - got it done on a Friday. Very nice, pleasant guy and lots of extra tips for other things around my house. I'm super happy to have it done and will call him again to get the neighbor's section spec

Michael came in over a series of days and cleaned up all our beds and picked apart the morning glory, even offering to spray the morning glory in the Fall to help knock it back. Job well done.

Working with Michael was a pleasure and I would not hesitant to hire him again on future jobs. He gave a fair bid and delivered above and beyond on the specified work items. He was very thorough in his clean up process as well. After he was finished my yard looked much better.

Michael was great. Easy to get in contact with, easy to get scheduled, and easy to add on a couple of asks. He assessed the work a day or two after the call, and had it all done within a week of the initial call. Price came in where he said it would for original work, and gave me a good deal on the additional work I added while he was here. We will see him again for winter shaping.

Although I like yard work, this was not a DIY job for me. Michael was super responsive, stopping by within 2 days to scope the project, while offering me tips on how I may want to deal with some of the other problem areas of my yard. He was quick in completing the job and was very communicative when he was considering an action that I may not agree with (there were a few areas where he needed to make deeper cuts into the bushes). He explained his recommendation and got my approval before proceeding. Really happy with the increased light and space on my property!
