He said he would be there 9am Saturday (next day). His truck was in front of the house by 8:50. He had to come in the house a few times and each time took off his shoes and was friendly.
Looked at the vent on the roof decided he didn't like the way it was installed, took it off and saw damage that was done to it. Stated that it would be best to install a new one. Stated fee would be 200 (including new vent) and he would "Guaranteed it for life". Also mentioned gutters were dirty and could be done for $100 extra.
I knew the gutters were draining mostly okay, but it had been awhile since they were properly cleaned, and one of the down spouts made weird noises (assumed partially clogged, he later said it was). My wife being pregnant and I on crutches I decided it would be best to pay him to do this, at least we wouldn't have to listen to the ticking of the drain spout. After seeing his bag of trash from the gutters I am glad we did this, he was right it needed to be done! Also drain spout doesn't tick anymore and drive you nuts at night!
He drove to home depot and picked up a new one and installed it, and then tried to up sell me again on moss removal of the roof (the gutters up sell I feel was worth it). I said no because I have seen pressure washing ruin people's roofs.... I don't know how people should do this. He said okay, smiled and continued on working.
I think he was gone by 11:30 to 12. So a total of around 2.5 hours including driving to home depot to pick up the part. He was friendly. I paid him what he quoted me.
I would highly recommend him if you have a leak or want your gutters cleaned.
