Magazine Quality Kitchens

We couldn't be happier with the final product and enjoyed the entire process from the planning process, every step of the project through completion. We gave Eric a budget and Eric gave us a time line. He did not go over a penny in the budget and finished 3 weeks early!! Eric Winebrinner helped us with the design, he taped off all of the areas where cabits and island would be so we could experience the space and make adjustments. He communicated Avery step and took lots of time to go over everything g we were going to do. Gave us lists of places to go to find all of the cabinets, counter tops, lighting and accessories that we needed. Left the construction area clean after each day of work. All of subs did excellent work and worked well with Eric. They are very detailed and conscientious about the quality of finishing touches which is very important for kitchens. Made sure he kept the dust out with zippered plastic temporary walls. Eric did everything he said he would do and some. Eric is very easy to work with, listened to our needs and performed.

Eric and his team did a fantastic job. They were unfailingly professional, polite, and pleasant to deal with throughout the project. The project has been completed for a couple months now, and we haven't seen a drop of water out of place since - they seem to have successfully repaired all of the leaks and problems. And the remodel is beautiful - we're so pleased with all of their work. We live in a big 1960's home; we bought the house originally for its square footage, but not for its charm. Happily, it's beginning to look and feel more lovely and less dated. Eric listened to all of our concerns and ideas; where we were vague and indecisive, he helped guide us to a great outcome. He paid excellent attention to every detail, and worked hard to assure that we were satisfied with everything he and his team did. They worked within the budget and timing they had estimated, with the exception of a few additions due to us changing our mind about a few small details partway into the project. The team was very patient and kind about working around our large family, and all the activity that was simultaneously happening in the home. Eric took charge and relieved us of so much of the stress that a remodel can cause. For example, when the subcontractors first attempted to install the kitchen countertops, they broke the granite. I was worried that I'd have to advocate to have it replaced, and that perhaps they'd just do a quick repair that showed the crack. But Eric handled everything, and a completely new, flawless, intact counter was installed the very next day. I didn't even have to put up a fuss - a relief for my non-confrontational self. He and his team left everything completely spotless at the end of the remodel, and in fact, left things in very good shape every day when they went home. The price seemed reasonable, compared to other contractors we spoke with. All in all, I highly recommend Eric Winebrinner and his business, Magazine Quality Kitchens. (Don't be put off by the title - I have no aspirations to appear in a magazine, and Eric was perfectly happy to deal with our mid-range remodel). I hope to work with them again for a future project. I've got a basement that could benefit from their talents!

Eric did a fantastic job of listening to our needs/desires and accomplishing the project as a team. Eric is personable, talented, knowledgeable and has a relaxed attitude especially when small issues arose. We love our new bathroom! He has a motto that is the best I've ever heard...the job isn't done until its right. Can't ask for more in a contractor!

Fortunately for me, I found exactly what I was looking for. We ended up hiring Magazine Quality Kitchens - I worked with Eric Winebrinner and he was a gem. He was very communicative every step of the way, and his job was amazing. We had some other contractors fall behind on there jobs, but it didn't phase Eric and co. They were able to smoothly circumnavigate any issues that arose and their job was completed on-time, and under budget. I will use them again for the next job I have, whether it be for painting or otherwise, as I understand that they do much more than painting.

It went great! Very pleased with Eric and his work. He had wonderful ideas, but did not have a problem listening to our suggestions and incorporating or re-suggesting. He started when he said he would start, finished when he said he would finish. He kept us informed along the way. He was very easy to work with and cleaned up very nicely on the last day. We would definitely work with him again!

Great. Their team is professional, careful, and they take pride in doing a good job. Very easy communication, with a nice balance between following our ideas and giving feedback on improvements. Stayed on schedule and they stick to their bid. Not the cheapest option, but the reliability and trust make up for that. The only problem that came up was when the drywall subcontractor showed up to work on the weekend, which was not okay with us. We will likely work with them again in the future for other projects, especially the larger remodeling projects.

Very well done. We were particularly impressed with their ability to listen and communicate. There was a bit of uncertainty on our part for some parts of the new kitchen. They did a stellar job of listening, explaining, and implementing.

Our remodel project was fairly large so we started off getting bids from several contractors and Eric's bid came at the lowest. We then interviewed several of Eric's customers and toured his past projects, everything checked out ok! We then went in and signed the contract! Everything went smoothly, and we got the dream house ON TIME! There are a few times that Eric went above and beyond to deliver the project above our expectations 1. Unlike other 'design/build' remodel companies, where the designer and contractor are different people, Eric is the designer and contractor, which made things much easier, we were largely worry-free throughout the project. 2. When we were not sure about the door style, he immediately met us at a home improvement store going through all doors, at the very end we were convinced that his choice were great. 3. He gave us a price quote including everything, so we don't have to worry about anything happened during the construction, such as when we discovered that the wall we were trying to remove was semi load-bearing, Eric added the supported needed in the exterior walls without incurring additional cost. 4. Post-remodel service was great too, when I discovered some defects with the shower wand he quickly replaced it, when I complained some rough edges in the drawer he made them smooth overnight. 5. I hired a home inspector at the end of the project to make sure things were good, and the inspector came back speaking highly of Eric's work, the project was flawless! I'm so glad I hired Eric and his team for my house renovation project and I would hire him again in a heart beat.

We were nervous about this remodel. You hear stories about fly-by-night contractors who inexplicably disappear for long periods of time, who jack up the price at the slightest provocation, and who use subs of dubious quality. We had NONE of those problems with MQK. The work was professionally done, the subcontractors were of high quality and were without exception respectful and friendly. They cleaned up every day and started on time every morning. They met our price and exceeded our expectations. As proof of our satisfaction, I offer this: we began our remodel just thinking to do the kitchen. As we worked with these guys, we were so impressed that we decided to expand the job to include the great room, bedroom and, most important, an entire new master bathroom and guest bath. They explained every element of cost and stuck to their bid price. The only exceptions were changes or additions we requested after the deal was struck. Those adjustments were always clear and reasonable. Bottom line, the cost was entirely fair and they were very conscientious about staying within budget without blowing out the schedule. We're in the warranty phase now and have had a few minor things that needed attention (a small crack in the caulk, a drawer that fell out of alignment, etc.). As those sorts of things have arisen, Eric has been great about returning and taking care of them quickly and with a smile. Bottom line, I'm delighted by the work MQK has done and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend Magazine Quality Kitchens and their services. We have used them for two projects and are very happy with the results for both. Eric was flexible, adaptable, and maintained great communication throughout the work and after. Eric has been dedicated to ensuring that the projects met the schedule, budget, and most importantly that we were happy with the end result. We will definitely use them for future work.
