MACY'S

Was later than projected date delivery by two weeks but other than that. no problems.

We went into Macy's with our checkbook out, ready to order a couch. We
were approached by a salesman, and talked to him for a few minutes. We
sat on a several couches in our price range, that we were interested in.
We decided on a couch and by then the salesman had left to write up
another sale. We were told by 2 sales associates that he would be right
back and that they couldn't help us. After 45 minutes we walked out. I
wrote an email to the Macy's customer service complaining and ever heard
back from them.

We got a whole bedroom set all together and I liked that. Everything was matched. They delivered and put it together for us. I really liked their home store.

Our delivery date keeps getting pushed back. We purchased it back in February. They said that it would take about 8 weeks. It is now September and we still don't have our furniture. It is replacement furniture because we had problems with the furniture we bought before, and we had insurance on it. They dont' make the furniture that we had prior, so we had to get a whole new set. I think at this point that it is out of their control.

I am been very lucky to shop at Macy's. I have met some very neat people. It has been a really good experience. I will continue to go there and recommend Macy's to anyone.

We chose to work with Jeff after watching the furniture sales team. He appeared to know the furniture and was free of bizarre affect (stalker or queen). He gave us clear information about the pieces we were considering and helped us with our final choice. Purchase went smoothly. Delivery was complicated. The larger piece would not fit down our stairway. Delivery team is not authorized to disassemble. Through Jeff, we were sent a specialist on a Friday afternoon to get our sofa in. Leo was GREAT. Nice sense of humor, did a complete and thorough job, and was even nice to the pets (at 6:20 p.m. on a Friday). We really appreciate the teamwork between Jeff and Leo - between sales and delivery. My only request: Let them answer the phone with something more normal than ''How may I provide you with excellent customer service?'' If you are providing it, you really don't need to ask now, do you?
