Steve is a true professional, has profound knowledge of his trait, does beautiful work, is honest, reasonably priced, and to top it off he is a really nice guy.
We had some water damage on a corner of the bedroom ceiling. Previous unimpressive contractors said that the ceiling was about to collapse and suggested covering the ceiling with sheet rock, which wouldn't have worked with the moldings on the wall, so we decided to wait and call Steve - so glad we did!
Steve came in and did an evaluation of the area. He found that there was no serious damage, and explained why having covered the area with sheet rock would have been a bad idea (no place where it could be firmly attached, among others).
He also discovered that the ceiling was covered with wall paper, that is why the area damaged seemed to be much worse than what it really was. He explained exactly what he found, what he would do, and how that would solve the problem. Clear and honest to the core.
So much of the work involved removing the old wall paper (which was a pain), repairing the corner that had damage, and then smoothing the whole ceiling. His work was, as always, beautiful, and his price was lower than the band-aid the previous contractors had suggested.
He carefully covers all the area to avoid any damage to furniture, floors, etc. When he worked on our ceiling, he used stilts to move around. He is detail oriented, and leaves the place absolutely clean when he is done - an art in an of itself considering he works with plaster.
He was always cheerful, happy to answer questions and share knowledge. It was fascinating to see pictures of different project he has worked on.
I would recommend Steve without hesitation to anyone that needs plaster work done in their home. I just wish we could clone him so we could have more Steves in the construction industry. Thank you!
glass (before it was a nasty popcorn ceiling) I also have an 80yo mother that lives with me and Steve was just great with her.
"Hi Customer, So glad you mentioned the drywall crews say it can't be done until they see me do it. I hope you're all moved in and enjoying your new home. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I know how valuable time is with our busy schedules. Thanks again!"
We will be working with Steve again for plaster needs our 1910 home throws at us. Nobody else will be considered.
