Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
The overall experience was quite awful. Mark Klco, the contractor showed up two days late with no explanation. He said the job would take 6 weeks--it took 4 months. He did not pay the subcontractors as he stated he had done (he asked us for payments for the subs and then did not pay them). My husband had to rip out the floor and insist it be redone. We also insisted that the tile be redone in spots. Towards the end our relationship was strained. They were doing touch up painting on walls that were full of dust--I was trying to clean as he was painting. He still hasn't paid at least one sub and is now going out of business. He won't return our calls. The carpenter who worked on the project was good and the overall bathroom is fine--but not worth the money we paid or the agony we went through.
