I went to the lynnwood store to purchase a lazyboy. Our first one was purchased at Tukwila and we had it shipped to lynnwood so I thought I'd try it out. They were rigid in their pricing so I went back to Tukwila. I called Ed, the manager, and explained the situation and he was flexible (it was about $50) so I went to get the chair there. We further compromised and I think I came out even further ahead b/c he gave me a $75 delivery free of charge in lieu of that $50 discount. I went back to get a side table (again, Lynnwood, then Tukwila) and the quality of all of the tables was poor: scratched, defective, broken... and they weren't cheap - that's my only complaint.

The sales part of the exchange went very well. We received a lot of help and advice in selecting a fabric for the sofa and coordinating fabric for the pillows. They spent lots of time and energy helping us find just the right pairing to go with our existing chairs and other pieces of furniture. The only disappointment we had was that the sofa took longer than expected to arrive and we had to keep calling to check on what was going on. For 3 weeks straight we were told the couch was "virtually on the truck for delivery". When the couch was finally delivered, however, it was in excellent condition and just how we envisioned it.

Purchased a new sofa and love seat. Have purchased 5 other pieces of furnature from this store in the past and everything was delivered within a week. The sofa and love seat were purchased on 5/1/2009 and of this date (9/3/2009) we still don't even have a delivered date. This store considered everything not delivered off of their floor as special order and therefore you can't cancel, or get a refund for said order, no matter how long they take completing the order. This store does not believe the customer is always right. Once they get your money they are not interested in dealing with you on a reasonable basis

On the delivery day they arrived with a chair that had nail head trim--we ordered a chair without nail head trim. The back of the chair was rubbed and the legs were scratched. During a call to the company they tried to assure us that they could repair the chair. We declined. A week later a replacement chair was supposed to be delivered. Nobody showed and nobody called. When we called the company, they seemed shocked that nobody called to tell us that the delivery was canceled. No reason was given for the cancellation. After several weeks of unreturned phone calls we were able to have our credit card credited and the order canceled after I threatened to deny the charges on my credit card bill.

It took them 2 months to send it and it came damaged. They took it back and didn t return my call to cancel and actually resent the damaged piece to me. It took them 3 months to finally send the right one. The price was fair but it was not worth the trouble. I am very displeased with them.

Before this, we had two good experiences with Lazboy so it has been distressing that they are so uncooperative. While the initial service tech's were good, it did take weeks to get each of them out to the house. After that, things have moved even more glacially with messages and emails not answered. Communication seems to have come to a standstill. One wonders if they are hoping if they ignore us, we will give up and just keep the chair. It is only in adversity, that a company's business ethic can be judged. Clearly Nordstroms is not the business model to which they aspire. At this moment, we are too upset with them to give them any less than an F. Without great incentive, I doubt we'll ever return to Lazboy.

Horrible customer service. They don't try to rectify any problems. The one gal I dealt with called me a liar. I would never, ever refer this company to anyone. Beware if you pay with debit card you have to wait 7 - 10 days to have your refund mailed to you.
