3 weeks after they "kleened" it, the firebox and flue caught and burned the house. They refused to even refund our money let alone help us. We had no renter's insurance and are screwed. The guy didn't clean the upper half of the flue which was the fuel that caused the fire.

"We did clean this gentleman's boiler and we did a thorough job. Unfortunately he did have a fire in his home 3-4 weeks after we cleaned it. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but there was some property damage. Shortly after the fire, I received a letter from an attorney representing the owner of the home and his insurance company. They were going to be conducting an investigation. After receiving this letter I, of course, contacted my insurance company. The investigation took place and there were forensic fire investigators there representing both parties. The conclusion of the investigation did not put my company at fault for this fire. Evidently the boiler was replaced a while back and was installed by the owner himself without any permits or inspections. The exhaust system was not installed properly, which was the reason this home caught fire. For some reason, the tenant who was occupying the home, is insisting that this fire is our fault. He has been posting this same slanderous review on all the social networks. As a business owner, I appreciate all the reviews by our customers. I consider a bad review as constructive criticism, and aim to use it to improve my business. However, there is no place for slanderous reviews.."

I scheduled service for cleaning an oil furnace and ducts. When he arrived, he pointed out he could not do the duct vacuuming because the ducts are taped with asbestos tape (something I did not know since I just bought the house). He cleaned the furnace thoroughly. He pointed out several tips to keep it clean and how I could clean the ducts locally if I wanted. Everything was cleaned and left in great shape after the work.

It was fast, thorough, efficient, and well done. Very pleased with the quality of work, cleanliness (especially given what was been done), and the effectiveness of the person doing the work. He was able to quickly assemble the hosing system, access the vents, the furnace, and chimney, remove a lot of dirt, dust, and debris. He added a new filter to the furnace and then removed everything from the house with no damage or clean-up required by the home owner. He was both professional and a pleasure to have working in the house.

Hired to vacuum and clean out furnace, also air ducts. Turned out air ducts didn't need cleaning, so saved about $80 on total bill. (Ducts were cleaned out 3 years ago, and since I've done no remodeling or other major dust/dirt generating activities, we decided to wait another few years to vacuum them.)
John arrived on time, and throughout was informative, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and efficient. Since my furnace hasn't worked since May 2012, we discussed reasons why, esp. clogged oil filter or heat exchanger, as well as other issues regarding the furnace, flue, etc. He answered all my questions and gave me tips and advice.
John was quick and thorough, and at the end my furnace worked again!! Except it still needs servicing to replace the oil filter, clean and adjust the nozzles, etc., so his recommendation was to leave it turned off until I could get these things done. Otherwise, running the furnace and quot;dirtyand quot; would just re-coat the insides he'd just cleaned.
Kudos to John and Kleen-Rite Kleaners, this was my second time hiring them and I definitely will again.

My oil furnace tech was out yesterday for the annual servicing of my 69 year old oil furnace. He recommended I have the furnace power vacuumed and gave me a couple of companies to check out, which I did on Angie’s List. I chose Kleen-Rite-Kleener and called right away for an appointment. I expected to have to wait a while, but they scheduled me the next afternoon. The techs Kyle and Josh did a great job. They were here when they said they would be, used tarps to protect my flooring, coordinated extremely well together, Kyle explained the process of what they would be doing, and patiently answered all my questions. The job took about an hour and 45 minutes and I feel was very reasonably priced for the amount of work they had to do to get to all the parts of the furnace and flue. I’m a very satisfied customer.

When I called to get an estimate, the person I spoke with was very helpful in explaining to me exactly what work would be performed and how it differed from the regular servicing we get from our service contract with our oil company. The technician that came out was prompt, clean and thorough. It is nice to have the heat on now and not feel like I'm going to sneeze all of the time!

I spoke with Joe and he was very professional and explained how the duct vacuuming worked. I hired them and it took about an hour when the tech arrived. I asked if I could see what they collected, but the tech said that it all got vacuumed into the truck so I could not see it. The tech was friendly enough. He put a piece of newspaper at each vent and then took a hose and blew the air in while the vacuum at the furnace was sucking the dust out (or supposedly). The tech left and I put a new furnace filter in. I was excited to have less dust in my house. A week went by and it was just as dusty as it was before. I checked the filter and it was as dirty as they were before doing the vacuuming (in one week). I gave it the benefit of the doubt because I figured the vacuuming may have disloged some more dust and this was that residual. I changed the filter again (mind you these are $10 3-M filters, not cheap ones) and waited another week. Still dusty! Still giving it the benefit of the doubt and changed the filter again (this is the third one in 3 weeks). After the third week and the filter was still super dirty, I called and asked if there was something that Kleen-Rite could do. Joe was very professional and just said that the more expensive cleaning (with the roters or whatever) might do a better job and that the association of air duct technologies (or something like that) would not endorse standard cleanings because they just did not suck out enough. Oh, nice to know. I wish I had know that upfront. Joe offered to come back and only charge the difference between the standard and the upgraded cleaning (which I think was about $250 more or so, I don't remember exactly). No thanks. So, I don't know if the upgraded cleaning would have helped or not, but for $345, I feel I got absolutely nothing as far as cleaner ducts and less dust. Just don't use the "standard" duct cleaning.

John was professional from start to end and explained exactly what they would be doing. Really felt like he did a thorough job after spending almost two hours on our small house. Seemed pricey, but knowing they were so thorough made it worthwhile. Very good experience and would hire them again.

We have an oil furnace and they cleaned the heating duct. They used a combination of blowing and vacuuming to clean it. They brought in a long hose which was connected to a vacuum mounted on a truck to do the cleaning. They did a good, professional job.
