Waterproofing: several contractors suggested sandblasting our basement concrete walls to remove paint & previous attempts of waterproofing. Kevin (K. Hudson Construction) took the time to research options & found a "green", soy based, product. It took a lot of elbow grease, but did a fantastic job! He then applied another "green" product which penetrates the concrete keeping moisture out. Kevin also suggested replacing our dilapidated concrete floor and installing a perimeter drain. This gave us a perfect start for a complete remodel, allowing ease of framing and any flooring of our choice. Plumbing: I can't even begin to describe the magic that Kevin (K. Hudson Construction) worked in our basement regarding the plumbing. If you own a 1900 circa home, you will appreciate when I tell you that we do not have a visible pipe in our basement. Electrical: We threw everything you can imagine at kevin (K. Hudson Construction) regarding the electrical for our new basement, including relocating our electrical panel. Not only did he meet our expectations, but had suggestions of his own that I know we will be grateful for in the future. Framing: The framing for our 1905 bungalow basement was a challenge even with a newly poured slap. kevin (K. Hudson Construction) really took the time shimming & adjusting to ensure an even drywall install. And, we do have beautiful walls! Drywall: I don't claim to be any expert on drywall as I've lived with lath & plaster walls for the last 15 years, but I can tell you that not a person has walked into our basement and not commented on the great job that was done. I've never had an easier time painting walls. Carpentry: The custom woodwork that Kevin did for us is nothing but suburb. We asked for & received a beautiful wood paneled tub surround; custom trim work; built-in cabinets. I can't wait until we have enough money to hire Kevin again for another project!

He is fantastic, upfront, and provided all of the documentation. Did a wonderful job on the bathroom. Did a great job controlling the dust from the work. We were concerned for our baby in regards to the dust and he managed it greatly. I would recommend him for anything.
