Work was very well done.  I was amazed that they were able to remove the very old fabric which had hundreds of staples without tearing the fabric, and they were able to re-use it, which was very important to me.  Chairs looked great and sit very comfortably now.  Cost to re-do the seats was $100.  If I had replaced the chairs, the replacement cost was $700 per chair.  I am very happy!

Joslin Upholstery did an excellent job repairing my couch cushion after one of my puppies ripped the back off and shredded all of the stuffing. I would absolutely use this company's services again.

Joslin's employee assisted me with fabric selection so I could get the project done within my price frame yet with something appropriate to the original look of the sofa.  I also was interested in avoiding toxic teflon coating, so she pointed me in the right direction. They allowed me to borrow a fabric book to look at in my own home overnight.  The owner did a good estimate from photos I brought in.. helps to bring in photos in the case of a sofa.  They also estimated 4 to 6 weeks, with fabric ordering, labor, etc.  I ordered the fabric.  Two weeks later they picked up the heavy sofa.  And 2 weeks later they were done with the reupholstery!  I am very satisfied.

I first when to Queen Anne Refinishers and they quoted me a price of $759 (not including tax) to put on the needlepoint seats, which I provided, on 2 dining room chairs.  That included touch up and new cushions.  I went to Joslin Upholstery and Interiors and  had almost the same work done for $205 (including tax).  The seats look great and I'm very happy with them.  I saved myself over $500 by using Joslin.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Joslin. First, I felt the cost of the fabric was above average. This was mostly our fault for not asking about this up front. I highly recommend that you determine the fabric cost to avoid any surprises. Second, after spending around 6 thousand dollars to get some furniture reupholstered they delivered one of the chairs with a large, noticeable snag in the fabric. To their credit they did come and get the chair and replaced the faulty fabric but I wonder why that wasn't done before they delivered it to me? Did they think I would just accept it that way?
The final straw for me was upon delivery of the repaired chair the delivery person, who I think is one of the owners, tracked mud all over my brand new living room carpet. When he noticed this as he was leaving he just shrugged his shoulders and mumbled, I'm sorry, and walked out. Like I wouldn't notice or something!
I would not use this company again due to high cost and totally unprofessional behaivor not to mention the damage done to my carpet.

The selection of fabrics was huge and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I could'nt be happier with the result! Not only would I recommend them, I plan to use them again myself.

overall great quality and finished job early. Sales woman was not extremely helpful in choosing appropriate fabrics. essentially pointed me to a few options and seemed bothered by me ( one else in the store). But offset by quality of job and speed.

I am absolutely thrilled with the way this job turned out. 

The wood frame/armrests/legs were refinished so the old scratches and dents don't show at all, and the delicate layers of wood that it's comprised of are now visible once again. The part of the legs that touch the floor no longer are in danger of chipping, and the minor imperfections of the wood show through like a fine old designer heirloom -- better than new, really, since it shows love and character in its history.

Joslin's staff helped me choose the perfect fabric in the color range that I wanted, and one that was quite reasonably priced.  Most of all, it's a fabric that can take a good amount of wear without abrading visibly.  I would not have known to consider this without her help! She was efficient and fun to work with.

This design of this chair requires absolute precision in the upholstering to look right -- since Saarinen's designs stress clean simple lines. And I am amazed how perfect it turned out.  The nap of the fabric runs true to the lines, and the fit is perfect, museum quality!  The supports for the seat were repaired and repadded, and now it is hard to keep my son's friends out of it -- it is SO comfortable and unusual a style that they all want to sit in it.

This Grasshopper chair occasionally can be found at high-end auctions, and I'm very happy that Joslin chose to photograph it and post it on their website. 

I had chosen Joslin over Queen Anne Upholstery after reading Angie's List reviews.  Joslin's pricing seemed more reasonable, but now I think it's not only the reasonable pricing but also the quality of the work that will keep me going back.

From start to finish excellent attention and advice

They were helpful, but never pushy or overbearing.   I felt I had plenty of time to choose the fabric and when they learned that I needed the job finished in somewhat of a hurry, they did their best to accomodate me.  The chair was finished within the time that I requested and it was lovely.    They are not cheap, but the quality and workmanship are excellent and worth the price.

  I am a big person and pointed out the fact that it needed to be a strong re-enforced seat. They agreed. I took the chair home and four days later the seat fell out. I took it back. They admitted that they had left something undone. But, and here is my problem, they held the chair hostage. I had paid the total bill before leaving with the chair the first time. But they had forgotten to add something, I never understood what, to the original bill. They would not give me back my chair until they had exhorted another $125 from me. I'm sorry. I think they should never have done that. Talk about unprofessional.

They are pricey but they are unbelievably good. They are the best for upholstery. They are very, very good at what they do. We've used them for years.

I am planning to uise them again for another piece of furniture. Everything was done with professionaliism and respect for me and myfurniture.

They were great. They are very high quality and professional. They were timely. I like them a lot and I have taken other things to them. They did a really nice job. The price of the material will vary the price.

Carol, Pam, and Jack were all incredibly helpful as we embarked on this project. The design of the chairs posed some unique challenges. Carol knows the many fabric choices inside out. She helped narrow the field, stearing me toward those that were compatible, affordable, and durable. She was both patient and enthusiastic. Jack confirmed that my selection would work well on the chairs. Pam requested quick delivery of the fabric, so the work was really expedited. The workshop is onsite, so I could see some other projects in various stages of completion - very reassuring. The chairs came home in just two weeks, and the workmanship is perfect. The final cost was just as advertised. The whole experience was a positive one. I recommend Joslin without reservation!
