This guy really knows his stuff.  He knew exactly how to deal with a burn such as this.  He came to the appointment early (!), and was done in just a little over two hours.  I would definitely call him again for anything carpet-related.

I have used John twice now for different jobs. He has stretched carpet, tacked down carpet after water damage. He does a great job and I recommend him. The only reason he doesn't get a perfect score is that he accidentally "dented" some wallboard when reattaching some baseboard. But, he was extremely apologetic and came back to fill in the problem.

He came out promptly and his price seemed reasonable. He does quality work.

Prompt arrival.    You can't tell the difference from the original installation.  A true craftsman.

he arrived promptly at 8:00am and got right to work.  my wife and i had removed most of the furniture but john helped move some big cabinets out of the way.  he was careful, efficient, friendly, and knowledgable in his work.  i enjoy watching a true craftsman perform his work.  he told us things to watch for in the future.  we have a big house so he is scheduled to come back in september to stretch three other room carpets and a hallway carpet.

stretched the carpet..... moved the furniture to do the job while I did garden work outside...I came in the job was done, and everything was put  back the way it was before he started.

John was excellent.

When I called, John's schedule was pretty full but he was able to squeeze in my little job.  John was on time and efficient. The carpet looks great.  He even suggested that I could vacuum if I wanted before he moved the bed back.  I vacuumed while he was doing something else saving time and money. He was pleasant and willing to answer my questions about carpet in general.

We had a hard time trying to find anyone who was interested in doing such a small repair.  John showed up when he said he would be there and did the work in the time frame he had stated.   We also were going to have him fix a hole that was cut into the carpet but he suggested we leave it as the repair with the patch material we had would make it look more obvious than just leaving it.

I called to get an estimate.  He returned my call within a day and walked me through what I wanted done.  He estimated it to be two full days of work.  He showed up at 8am on the scheduled day and went to work.  I did most of the furniture moving but he helped with a few large pieces.  He restretched all the carpet in a 3800 sq ft house.  He added tack strips where needed and redid quite a few seams.  He also redid the carpet on 14 stairs.
He was very forthright about what could be fixed via carpet stretching and what could not.  We chose not to restretch a few rooms where he didn't think it was needed.
Very nice guy and very competent.  He was working hard the entire time.  He ended up finishing about 3 hours earlier than his phone estimate so the job ended up costing less than the original bid.  He charges by the hour for his time but does not charge travel time.  He also charges for materials but the amount was minimal.
I highly recommend him.
