slow returning our calls, then when he didn't show up we called him and he said he had changed his mind about performing any work . Wasted our time for no particular reason.

Jim does great work. It took much longer than we expected, partly due to requiring more coats of paint than expected, but partly because Jim is slow and meticulous. However, his price was fabulous and the final product was perfect.

The work went great, this is a great story, we were being relocated from Portland to Seattle. The day we were moving, our baby was born. So I had to leave a key out for him and he took care of everything. he even left us a little present for the baby. The quality of work and price was good. He went out of his way to make it right.

He called an hour and a half before the appointment to say he couldn't come. We rescheduled for a later date. He was very pleasant and seemed to know what he was doing. I already had paint, but he didn't want to use my brand. He never showed the day of the job, and when I called him, his wife said he was on another job. He never called me back.

Mr. Tyler came to our house on a Sunday to look at our interior paint job. He stayed for about an hour and went through a lot of details with us. He told us he would give us the estimate on Tuesday. We never got the estimate and he never called; we never heard from him again.

Jim came out promptly to give us and estimate. He worked really hard to finish before we had carpet installed.

I called Jim on June 12, 2007 at 2:50 p.m and left a message for him to return my call. As of this date, he has failed to return my call.

Jim was great! On time and cheerful and easy going. Very methodical and made sure it looked just the way I had hoped. When it didn't, he offered suggestions and of course he was right! Everything ended up looking clean and beautiful and warm and helped make my house a home!

Jim is very friendly and easy to work with but we almost hired someone else when his current job kept him otherwise occupied and he could not give any specific starting date. We made the deal on a handshake and then later found that we had remembered different details about what was to be done for the fixed price. Of course we should have put it in writing. He did some extra work as a compromise, but we didn't find out until the end that he was not going to haul any of the garbage. Now we have a few hours work to clean up the leftovers. If you want a friendly worker with lots of experience, and are laid back about when the work will be done and how long it might take, hire Jim - just be sure to write down the details.

Jim was on time and easy to work with. The first day I called him he came out that day and gave me an estimate. He showed up and did the work sooner than I thought he would and got done in 3 days. All of this he did over the weekend before Christmas. His work was of good quality and he was a pleasure to have around the house. I have teenage kids and multiple pets. None of the distractions bothered Jim he just did his work. He also did a number of little things as he went that weren't in the original contract, just because he knew it was easier for him to do than for me to do.

Jim is an old-school painter; takes his time to pay attention to details most would ignore. The house felt new after he was done in fact, better than the builder had left it in lots of places like around windows. With the exception of one day that his granddaughter helped with taping, he worked alone. He is meticulous, reliable, careful in the house, and does great work. His patches were a little inconsistent, some matched the rest of the wall, some were a little off, but I'm being pretty picky here. He repaired cracks, removed old paint and re-caulked around windows. He was punctual in starting each day, but often stopped mid-day. I had the sense that he was working a second job alongside mine. This made a 4-room job take 3-weeks when it should have taken no more than two. Wasn't a problem for us, we were in no rush. He did work Sat/Sun on occasion. I'd recommend Jim in a heartbeat.

Jim was on time, polite and meticulous in his work. He thoroughly taped the floor and trim and there was no paint mess. He plastered even minor dents in the wall. Overall the work was quite good. His price was extremely competitive compared to other quotes I received. I would hire him again.

Jim and Molly were on time, polite, and meticulous in their work. They are thorough so plan plenty of time for them to complete the work you ask them to do. Jim's pricing was very fair. Without reservation, I'd call Jim first for any future painting I needed done.

Jim is a wonderful person and an excellent painter who uses only the best materials to do the job. His granddaughter did a thorough job of masking and protecting floor and carpets. Jim hand scraped and sanded the ceilings in three rooms that had the remains of a popcorn ceiling. He repaired all the holes and cracks and did a beautiful job of smoothing out the surfaces before priming and painting. Jim has a meticulous eye for detail and takes pride in his work. He is punctual, courteous and very honest. His kind of work ethic is rarely seen today. He even took the time to record the measurements of my children's height before painting over them! I will definitely use him again for my next painting project.

JIM IS WONDERFUL! HE IS A TRUE CRAFTSMAN, AND SPENDS THE TIME REQUIRED TO METICULOUSLY PREPARE AND PAINT. HE IS ALSO PUNCTUAL, RESPONSIBLE, AND HIS PRICING IS VERY FAIR. IN ADDITION, JIM IS JUST A GOOD GUY - THE KIND OF PERSON THAT GOES THE EXTRA MILE. HE EVEN FED MY CAT FOR ME WHEN I WAS OUT OF TOWN!
