JCD Repair

Was having problems with Iphone battery drain. Went to Jet City without and appointment and was severed immediately. The tech replaced battery, which took , less then 10 minutes. The tech then checked phone to make sure all functions were operational after battery had been replaced. Staff was informative and knowledgeable spent time explaining things. Price was very fair and competitive. Definitely will use them in future for any electronic device repairs.

They were fast, friendly and efficient. I can recommend they at the highest level. They were a delight to work with.

Today about noon I figured out that the microphone on my cell phone was not working. I called JCD (also called Jet City Device) and the woman in the Wallingford location told me how to temporarily work around the problem (use the plug in earbud with microphone). She knew that this kind of phone needed to have the microphone welded and referred me to their South Lake Union location. I called. The said they could fix it today--it would take about an hour. I took it down to them. Matt fixed it while I had lunch at a new pho restaurant.

I live in Central Washington and was traveling to Seattle area on other business, but decided to try to get my phone fixed while i was in the area. I called ahead (about and hour before i was going to show up) and asked about an appointment timeslot. They said that unfortunately their schedule was full for the rest of the day, and if they couldnt fit me in when i arrived, that i could leave the phone and they would mail it back.
When i arrived, the receptionist told me that he could fix it in less than 5 minutes, if i was willing to wait. Before he began the work, he informed me that this work would void any existing warranty and that the new glass would not have the Apple logo on it. I aggreed to the terms and he replaced the glass piece promptly, while remaining at the front desk and allowing me to watch his work. He was prompt, courteous, accurate, and succinct. Even with a few minutes of casual conversation, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The cost of the repair (materials included) was less than $25. For Apple to replace the glass is more than $200.
Only item that i could comment on negatively, is that the cases they offered (for sale) to cover my phone are not top quality products. They are well worth the cost for the thrifty minded individual, but i did not see any cases which provide top quality protection and comfort (regardless of cost).
All in all, A+ business.

Got our iPhone repaired here, 2 weeks later it got dropped (in its case, no less) to a carpeted floor and the new screen breaks. Perhaps I'm expecting too much but the screen should be as resilient as the original, which would never break being dropped to a carpeted floor.
To add insult to injury, when we returned with the phone the clerk essentially accused of lying saying that the damage could only have occurred if something impacted the center of the screen (that would be a new thing for carpet to do). One of their other employees even agreed with us that dropping it to carpet shouldn't have broken the screen but were stuck going back in again and wasting more time to prove to their 'lead technician' that this was a defect in workmanship.

i dropped my iPad in a parking lot - and was just sick about it. worried I would have to buy a whole new iPad - i instead searched and found JCD. I went in, waited less than 10 minutes to be helped - explained what happened. They smiled (apparently they've heard these stories before) :) Told me to come back in one week.

Upon my return my iPad was as pretty as the day I got it. It has worked beautifully and I was very happy with the result. When I got there, the gentleman also gave me suggestions on covers that would protect my iPad from me in the future.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone and while I hope I don't have to use them again - they are at the top of my list for quality service and reasonable price.

My four year old dropped our ipad on the concrete outside, shattering the screen. After completely pulling my hair out thinking about the cost of replacing it (and talking to apple) I found this company on Yelp. They were extremely helpful on the phone, I brought it in that night, and the turn over for ipads was 48 hours. I had it back, good as new in the time they promised and I was incredibly relieved. I would definitely recommend this business, and also a sturdy case when a four year old is handling electronics.

The service was very quick. I made an appointment very easily. When I was there, they were a little slow, but considering what they were doing, I understand.

Called, very helpful on phone regarding price and timing, and they gave me an appointment time. Dropped the phone off and came back 45 minutes later when they said it would be done. Still were working on it so observed them at work. Very meticulous and careful in taking apart and reassembling the phone. Now good as new. While it wasn't ready at the promised time, it was fun to see them at work, so didn't mind. The two guys working in the store were friendly, cheerful and skilled at what they do.

I made an appointment and came into the shop (You can also mail in devices) to get the glass replacement on my iTouch. Tom was courteous, an expert at replacing Apple devices, and had my device in good working order in about 10 minutes. He followed up to make sure everything was okay. I highly recommend JetCity Devices not only because they are cheaper than Apple, but also because the service is tops.
