We had a roofing specialist come out to look at the failed roof that Jacobs had installed. Who confirmed that it needed to be replaced immediately to prevent further water damage to the house. Although we already knew that since we are both architects. The net result was that we had to get the whole roof replaced at a cost of $14,000 by a different contractor.
Description of Work: Previous owners of our house had Jacobs install a supposedly 50 year roof called FireFree. Which proved to be defective, and which failed after about 6 or 7 years. We contacted Jacobs to have them come out to look at the failed roof. Which they promised to do but never followed through. Despite three requests on our part phone and written. They stonewalled us completely, not wanting to even look at the problem. They must have thought that if they didn't come out and look at it, there must not be any problem with it!($14000.00)

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH JACOBS ROOFING I FEEL WENT VERY WELL. WE WERE ABLE TO CONTACT THEM, GET A QUOTE FROM THEM AND HAVE THE ROOF COMPLETED IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE DIDN'T HAVE TO CONTACT TO SEE WHEN IT WOULD BE COMPLETED AND THEY STAYED ON TIME. WE CHANGED THE ROOF FROM CEDAR SHAKE TO I THINK 30 YEAR COMPOSITION.
