Bad. He took $6000 for only $1800 worth of work (he was here for 4 days, 6 hrs each day).
Description of Work: We got an estimate to have him finish out our basement. The job included Duct Work, replacing the Oil Furnace, putting up framing, and sheetrock. The contract was to pay him an up front deposit of $6000 (ducting work was only $1800 of that bid). Sheldon & his son installed 1/2 of our ducting work, THEN broke through our oil main line which caused oil to seep into our cement foundation. After I called him about the dangerous fume levels within the house, he refused to speak with me and quit the job when I tried to get him to properly clean up the oil spill & reimburse us for the overnight hotel stay we were forced into with our small infant. Ultimately, Sheldon refused to refund us for the unused labor costs. He simply took off with our entire deposit, even though he spent a maximum of $1800 on parts and labor over the course of only 4 days on the job! He has pushed back & the only way I can get my money back now is to take him to small claims court... which I intend to do. The work was sloppy, he was unresponsive, non-negotiable about what needed to be fixed, could care less about the health impact the oil spill fumes had on me & my 12 month old baby, then he flew off the handle and walked away from us, refusing to refund us our hard earned money. Unfortunately, I have to warn everyone I know about this ordeal he has put my family through. It is very sad that he chooses to have bad practices as a business owner.

Hi, Sheldon Taylor (the owner of I Do That) cracked our kitchen drain pipe by allowing the 12" furnace ducting that he installed to rest on it. I just had a plumber install that pipe at a cost of $135.00. All he had to do was put one or two duct straps on it so that it was attached to the beam instead of putting pressure(weight) on the plumbing pipe. He had no support at all on the 12 inch ducting for the first 4 1/2 feet except for the plumbing pipe that it was resting on. He properly supported the last 12 and a half feet of the 12 inch ducting with four separate straps including one at the opposite end of the plumbing pipe that he cracked. He also cut into our water line for the refrigerator and then tried to hide it by duct taping it and wrapping (hiding) it in a rag. My daughter noticed that the cold water spout on our refrigerator wasn't working which led to discovery of the problem. I paid him for the work that he had done so far since I didn't know about the problems yet. He did the work on a Thursday and he was suppose come out and finish the rest (for more money) on Monday but I canceled since I didn't know if I could trust him to do a proper job any more. I am in a tough position since I need to have the damage that he did repaired and I have to have the rest of the job finished whether I do it myself or have someone else do it. My son emailed him about the problems and Sheldon admitted cutting the refrigerator line but he denies cracking the plumbing pipe even though we sent him pictures of the 12 inch ducting resting on the plumbing pipe.
