 + -1 moreand quot;Mickeyand quot; Hummelbrunner and his assistant went into this project not knowing how badly the old porch had rotted away. Once they'd started demolition it was clear that the whole thing had to go. With a name like Hummelbrunner I expected German craftsmanship and I got it. The team put in a lot of extra time into the build, pouring concrete for the base, using top grade cedar for the railings and a high tech coating for the deck to repel water. The stair risers are made of treated lumber, the stair treads are recycled plastic and the rest of the house could fall down and that front porch would remain. One detail I was particularly impressed by was the job they did on the siding. Getting it right involved hours of detailed work with cedar shingles. Not easy, but Hummelbrunner only does things the right way.

 + 0 moreI have worked with many contractors over the years and Mickey is by far the best. The quality of the work is excellent. It was completed on time and on budget. Mickey and his team were polite and careful not track dirt into the house. Every time they left, the area was tidy and he tried to inconvenience us as little as possible. The bathroom is beautiful. We are extremely satisfied with the work. We will be hiring him again to remodel the kitchen and rebuild our deck.

 + -1 morea fantastic remodel and we are completely satisfied with the outcome.
Description of Work: I had the unfinished basement in my house turned into a mother-in-law apartment complete with a bathroom kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a living room. This was not the cheapest contractor, but I had bids goining over $100,000 and quoting 6-8 months to finish. Mickey finished this project on budget and on time which he quoted would be finished in 12-15 weeks. We were done in 13 weeks. My mother-in-law is coming to stay next weekend (this might not be a good thing). The work is an excellent quality and the woodwork matches beautifully to the rest of the house, a 1924 craftsman. l didn't want the basement to seem like an afterthought. It is beautiful, bright sunny and of the same quality as the rest of the house. Mckey worked within my budget, all of the workers were polite and the work was completed on time. I have never had much faith in general contractors, but Mickey Hummelbrunner has changed my mind. This was the easiest renovation I have ever completely. I highly recomend Hummelbrunner construction
