Think twice before using Housecraft Service Co. At first Charles was super friendly and gave us a great deal on our metal roof ... but then the problems started. The crew was friendly and nice but Charles is the one that is in control when it comes to the materials used and the execution of how the job is is done. They DO NOT do quality work and there was and has been nothing but problems with the roof we purchased. I REALLY wish I had gone with a bigger name brand company. I know I would have spent more money but at least the workmanship would have been quality and lasting. The headache of having to deal with him was a nightmare. Charles is a slick talker and you will feel like you can trust but he does not have integrity. He is just trying to do quick shotty work and make the money. He literally cuts corners. One problem is we found out later that he didn’t have his crew did not remove all the old roof tar paper before starting. Another issue was that they didn’t use the metal roofing manufactures material on the edge margins instead went to a local home improvement stoof and bought cheap edge striping. We picked out the material and color of the roof then he did a switch and used a company where he got “deal”. I see another review from 2/08/14 where he wanted the wholesale door. It is clear Charles is not interested in quality just saving money/time on his end. One of his strategies is to say there is a lifetime workmanship warranty so you feel like you can't go wrong. When we we started to have problesm he did try to rectify the problems but he gave you the run around and never quite get things fixed so the warranty is useless. We now needed to call another company to fix their mistakes. Metal roofs are not typical so people ask often about the roof. When people ask about our metal roof I always tell them steer clear of Housecraft Service Co. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Very friendly contractor and crew. Did everything I asked for and cleaned up. Roof was put on last summer and came through high winds and very heavy rains all winter. The price was the best and I will use them again for my garage roof.

Install was great, crew that showed up was not owner (Charles). The main issue with this company is the owner. He is wholly unprofessional. His quotes and prices kept sliding around and when asked about the details of how he got his pricing, he refused to provide any transparency or explain why one thing cost this much and if we added this to the scope or took out this scope, why the pricing would change. He wanted us to use a door he got a huge margin on purchasing wholesale and when we wanted him to just install the door that we chose, he jacked the price up again to install the door. He almost refused to sign a contract agreement and he raised his voice and got in our face in our house when we told him he had to sign an agreement to get going.
He doesn't email or provide paperwork and he lied about a judgment against his company (claiming no one has ever questioned his prices or had a problem with his workmanship before). When we called him on it, he almost walked out of the house. We were not asking for unreasonable things; we quizzed him on his prices, asked for samples and wanted to use items we chose for the house. But his reaction was wholly unprofessional and acted like a baby. We also felt he was sexist when talking with a woman; he never yelled or tried to bully when a man was in the room.
Despite him being a bully, we understood that once we got through this initial setup he would not be showing up again to do the work and so went with Housecraft because they did provide the best prices. So it was a nightmare to deal with him initially, then when we didn't have to deal with him again, it went great.

As I said prior, I was very happy with this service and would use them again.

The whole process was very pleasant. Charles and his team worked really hard, were very professional, came in on time and on budget. We had an issue with the railings that required some extra effort by them to fix a problem caused by the manufacturer but got it done without complaint. They addressed my questions and comments courteously. On top of that, their price was competitive with the other companies I received bids for. I will definately consider using them in the future.

They did a very good job. I would use them future.
