Geoff is a very intelligent hard working and fair gardener. He found great ground over provider (bark) and worked hard and intelligently to give me something better than I could dreamed. You would be lucky to get his services.

Geoff has done work for our family for over 20 years.  He started out doing the mowing but has since become our main gardener.  He is very knowledgeable about plants and trees and how they should be pruned and taken care of.  His quality of work is excellent and he is very trustworthy.

As has been our experience over two years, Geoff Henning completed this pruning job on time and with a great deal of care and expertise. Geoff works hard with persistence and diligence. He is meticulous in his work and always leaves the work site in perfect condition. He communicates clearly about what needs to be done and makes informed suggestions on how best to do it. We could not be more satisfied with the service Henninjg's Lawns and Gardens has provided.

Geoff called to say he had a few urgent things to do related to the work he was going to do and said he'd arrive at 10 am. Once here, he asked which of the projects we'd discussed I'd like him to start on. Since it was going to be a a very warm day, I recommended the laurel hedge. Geoff has cut my lawn since spring and previously worked on the hedge. This was going to be a "trim" to cut back new growth since the earlier cut. I like to use tarps to catch the cut leaves so the raking doesn't remove mulch and when he does my hedge Geoff is fine with adapting by using this technique.
Geoff works hard. For some of his previous work on another hedge, he recommended removing an extremely old wooden fence which he did and then took all the parts of it to the waste management site. Before working on a project he asks about it so the customer is able to provide input; he likes to make sure we're both on the same page.

He is super good. He works quickly so he's not charging you an arm and a leg. He works really hard. His prices are fair. He has worked for me for 8 years. I moved to a townhouse and I don't do the gardening now.

The project to install plants in existing planters on the balcony of a condo I recently purchased went very well. Geoffrey did an excellent job of selecting the plants and preparing the planters (raising off ground slightly to improve drainage and installing good soil). Until recently I lived in a house in Bellevue, and Geoffrey took are of the yard for the 20 years I lived in the house. He does excellent work and is trustworthy. Strongly recommended.

It went very well overall; I have used this provider before which is why I used him again since he is well worth the prices he charges. I have large pine trees and a huge maple tree in my back yard which overhangs the home and so pine needles and leaves are everywhere from September thru November. Richard spent a good hour raking and blowing them into a neat pile and getting them off the roof and out of the gutters as well. He offered to take them off the premises but I like them to degrade naturally and provide compost and fertilizer in the spring. He also attempted to fix the gutters where they were hanging off the roof but due to the age and issues of the situation was not able to; he did not charge me for the time he spent trying which was almost an hour. He transplanted some hydrangeas and pruned and weeded out the roses which needed bedding down for the winter and also gave advice about moving some other shrubs whose position in the yard I haven't been happy with but we decided to wait till spring as there was no hurry on this and we didn't have any particular preference on where they would look best. We will work on the yard further in the spring so I will post another review about that when the time comes.

Geoff was fantastic. I needed something done this week as the landlord stopped by and was not happy with the condition of the grounds so I went online and pulled up the Little Nickel for Snohomish County and started calling. The first person couldn't speak enough English for me even to give my name and address let alone tell them what I wanted done. The second person said that it wouldn't be a big enough job for him to come as he needed to make at least $300 when he took his truck out to a job. The next several listings were too far away in the south end as I live in the north end; needless to say I was feeling a bit discouraged by the time I took a flyer on this modest ad: Location: Seattle, WA Description:Plant, Prune, Mow, Weed, Bark, Remove Debris Henning Gardening Call Geoff Today: 206-854-1794 LICENSED and INSURED. I got him on the phone, he was in the area for another job and when he was through he came right over and gave me an estimate of four hours at $35 an hour to get everything done ( for those living elsewhere: this is very reasonable in the Pudget Sound area, we have a fairly high cost of living here, but it's worth it). This turned out to be exactly what it ended up costing too. We agreed he should come out the next morning and he showed up on time and went to work and worked every minute of those four hours except when I came out to ask him some questions or give him a drink of water as it was a scorcher by Seattle standards, in the mid 90's that day by the time he was done. He did a wonderful job of clearing out everything and cleaning up afterward. I plan to use him again this comming spring to put in some herbacous borders and flowering shrubs and maybe a few rose trees or some vegetables. (We're big on spring when it finally comes as 8 months of rain gets pretty old by April/May.) Should be very pretty when done; I'll be posting again then.
