I wanted to replace some carpeting with wood flooring in a condo, and initially knew nothing about what was involved in that. I stopped in because the store was nearby, appeared to carry high quality products, and also tended towards more and quot;eco friendlyand quot; options. Cameron was very helpful in explaining flooring options, pros/cons of each, and guiding me through the product decision process. It was definitely more helpful -- and felt more honest -- than the info I received in other larger chain flooring stores.
Cameron worked with me to select a material that was within my target budget and availability schedule, and made the whole transaction quite easy once I decided to move forward. Communication was great, and I appreciated his patience with me through the process. In the end, I'm happy to support a small local business, and feel that I got a good price on a quality product.
Very nice products. Have not used, yet, as not sure which product we want. They have beautiful environmental products and very helpful staff. Just not sure if the products are right for us, such as wool carpeting that we read must be vacuumed often to keep moths away. We are going to put in rooms where vacuuming around large furniture will be difficult. Too bad because the rugs are beautiful and not that expensive.
If you want green products, or just nice products, this is a great place to check out.
In the meantime, we discovered that the cabinets that we had ordered elsewhere were not usable. Greenhome Solutions was able to set us up with high quality, local cabinets (Canyon Creek) and held onto the counter material for us during the delay. We appreciate their flexibility.
"Member was a great client to work with! We're very glad that she found us and we were able to help her out with her project. They went with one of our favorite surfaces, EcoTop, which is recycled paper composite countertop."
"Thank you for the review, it was great working with you. The customer went with one of our most popular carpets from Godfrey Hirst called Lisbon. This is a 100% Wool carpet with natural Jute backing and Wool Pad as well. We hope you're enjoying it!"
OK, it all arrived after more than a month, and I was unable to put the things together. I am a master of Ikea construction -- and instructions -- or so I thought. The instructions with these were possibly readable to a master cabinetmaker, but they were absolutely useless to me. Tyler saw my bafflement and came back with a friend (no doubt a master cabinetmaker), and they spent an afternoon assembling. Great.
i am trying to be fair here because things really went south since this positive part of my experience. After that, there were problems with hardware, especially the ultra fancy hinges several months later when the doors arrived from a different supplier. I ordered one base cabinet to have a drawer above a shelf; it arrived with a large door that covered the whole front and no way to front a drawer. it has now been a year, and Tyler does not answer my calls or call back. I've talked with numerous people in the company, all of whom say it's being done, and it must not be true because there is never a tangible result.
I bet you're wondering if I am a pain in the neck customer, and I believe I've been friendly, polite and patient. Now let's see some results!
"We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with your purchase. We sell materials and help to facilitate installation if need be, whether it is a contractor/installer referral or scheduling with your chosen professional. In this case Tyler went out and helped put the boxes together for the customer in need of additional assistance. This was a situation where a contractor was needed separately and we should have been more clear as to what services we provide throughout the process."
All in all, I am very satisfied. I learned a lot in the process.
"Thanks Customer! Tess is our hero! We're glad things went well and we would LOVE to see some photos if you have a chance. Cindy used EcoTop recyceld paper countertops and Fireclay Tile. Good combo for sure!"
