Green T Plumbing

I was looking for a plumber and the reviews on Angie's List were good - so I went ahead and sent an email via his website. But then I looked some more and according to Yelp, he had some bad reviews. And his license was suspended with pending lawsuits. And his name appeared as a suspect/arrested for the big wine theft in SODO. So I wish I had never contacted him via email after reading Angies List - and thought I would update his standing here in Angies List. Without having met him of course, but based on my research.

Sam was prompt courteous and very helpful. He said that this faucet would not last too long. He tightened the faucet and didn't charge us a dime. I would definitely recommend Sam's services. It's nice to see friendly people who don't try to cheat others, especially in the plumbing industry.

The customer service is great. He was able to work with us in our time frame. He was timely and clean. He kept everything organized. He was very easy to work with. The overall experience was excellent. I loved the price. I searched around and had some above and some below, but price point verses quality of work was excellent. He worked around my schedule. I would use this provider again.

Sam was very responsive on the phone, showed up on time, and took his time providing a careful estimate. Having contracted out a lot of work on past projects, these are exactly the things I look for. His bid came in average, so given the extra time he took in bidding gave me comfort he would do the job right for a fair price. Results: Results were fast and careful and finished by the time he said he would. He took care to insulate supply lines where needed, ensure all pipes were tied down properly per inspection requirements. Pipes looked straight, clean, and logical and passed ground and rough-in inspection on first try for each. I highly recommend Green T Plumbing. Very knowledgeable, great work and a real pleasure to work with.

We learned of Green T at the Seattle Green Festival. Sam came out to provide an estimate for removing an older poorly performing Kohler toilet, moving a newer Kohler we had in another bathroom to that location, and installing a new dual-flush Caroma where the newer Kohler used to be. He seemed knowledgeable and experienced with new low-flow toilets. An the estimate was fair so we hired him. We procured the new WaterWise certified dual-flush Caroma ourselves at ecohaus to save a little money. (By the way, we've had the Caroma for 5 months now and are happy with it. It saves a lot of water and lowers our bills but needs its bowl cleaned a little more often.) Anyway, Sam did the work as promised. The reason we only rated B for quality and professionalism is that when he removed and moved the existing toilets here, he carried them with full tanks, spilling much water in the bathroom and along the way. This required us to mop up after him so our MDF baseboards would not get waterlogged and damaged. This was surprising because I'm pretty sure it's normal practice to drain a toilet tank >before< moving it. Other than that, the work was done as expected and there have been no leaks.

Sam is great! He is super friendly, the price is right. I never have to worry about the quality of service or product. He has replaced two of aging toilets so far. When my last one needs replacing, it will be Sam I call again. He is fast and friendly. However, friendly as he is, he is focused on getting in, and getting the job done right. And bonus, as a woman, I never felt like I was getting fleeced for the price. He is so flexible, he will work on your time schedule - and not keep you waiting. I would highly recommend him to EVERYONE.

We called Green T Plumbing because my water heater (an electric one,) went out and started leaking. We wanted to be eco-friendly and get a tankless water heater, but were concerned that the cost would be prohibitive. Sam was very knowledgeable about the products and rebates available. He helped us find the perfect water heater for us, and the rebate that made it affordable. (The rebate was about $700) He was able to come later that day, squeezing us in at the end of the day so that we would not be without hot water. He was friendly and stayed late to finish the job for no extra charge, which I really appreciated because we had guests coming from out of town the next day! He was quick, charged exactly what he had quoted us, and left the garage clean. I will definitely call him next time I need plumbing work.
