Wow, just got my new roof done by Golden Rule and I gotta say, they nailed it (pun intended)! Right from the start, these guys were on it. They showed up on time, kept me in the loop about everything, and made sure I knew exactly what I was paying for. No surprises or sneaky extra charges. They worked super fast but didn’t skimp on quality. And the cleanup was seriously impressive. After they took off the old roof(not just the shingles but all the decking too) and put on the new one, they cleaned up so well, you’d never guess they were here. Honestly, if you need your roof done, hit up Doug and Mike. They’re the real deal – professional, clear, and clean. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you guys for such a great job!

Doug and Mike did a fantastic job on our new roof. We had several quotes and we went with them because they were very thorough in their evaluation of our old roof (they even went in the attic to access the humidity and air flow and to see if there were any mold issues) and their communication was excellent. The bid was the only one that itemized their supplies and they made sure we understood the process. The project went very smooth and I was very impressed with how the workers did their best to keep the area tidy. Each night they would clean up any excess debris. The job was on-time and because not all the supplies were used, we were able to get some money back. Again, the communication they had with us was excellent and I would highly recommend them. In addition, can I say our roof looks incredible ?!!

My husband and I had been looking for a construction company to redo our roof and either rebuild or renew our patio cover. We'd already contacted 3 companies and had 2 bids in hand, but we didn't feel confident enough with those companies to move forward. All that changed when we met Mike and Doug from Golden Rule. From the first conversations to the final payment, we knew we were dealing with a company that valued relationships, personal attention, and professionalism. In contrast to the other companies we had approached, we felt that Golden Rule treated us like we were one of their most important clients from the get-go. Communication was not only same-day, but usually same-hour. We experienced no delays with the work and, in fact, they consistently completed work ahead of schedule. We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend Golden Rule!

We were very happy with the service of Golden Rule. We appreciate the process of getting a quote and quick turn around for the roof installation. Everyone was very kind and explained the whole process from start to finish. I would recommend them to others and we did recommend them to many of our friends and neighbors.

It went well and was fast the roof was put on as overlay. The was leaking and this was solution that immediatlety fix the issue and even with the recent heavy rain havent seen an issues since they new roof has been put on.

Working with Mike and Doug was one of the best construction experiences I’ve had to date (and I’ve had a lot!). They were easy to communicate with, very transparent, and trustworthy. No middle men to deal with - you work directly with them and they responded to every question quickly (and with patience!) They explained things clearly never did I feel like I was being ‘sold’ something. The crew that did the installation - led by Andres - was efficient and professional. They were very courteous to me and my kids and made the whole process stress free. I am thrilled with the final product and even more thrilled it was easy and straightforward as it was!

The Golden Rule Roofing and Construction team is an exceptionally top-notch, honest, knowledgeable company of the highest caliber. Our project involved not only roofing but also installing gutters, insulation, skylights, and repairing areas of extensive dry rot. As an out of state part owner, I needed a company that could handle all the many facets but more importantly, one that I could trust 100%. I was so fortunate to have found Golden Rule. Doug and Mike proved to be not only extremely knowledgeable contractors but also provided the highest standards of service. As a client I felt I was always their highest priority. As I expected, our project would have some challenges but from start to finish Doug and Mike were stellar in their communications and management of the job. Each step of the way Doug, (my main point of contact), was outstanding in providing updates, photos and responding to calls and e-mails. I so much appreciated the time they both devoted to keeping me completely informed as the job progressed. This job had a lot of moving parts that overlapped and could have posed problems and delays. Mike excelled in keeping it all coordinated and moving forward to a successful outcome. Clearly the work of a superb, skillful, and experienced general contractor. Furthermore, I would like to express my appreciation to all the workers on this job. From what I heard from the occupants of the property, all the workers on this project were polite, respectful and hard workers. And, they powered through the job despite a recent heat wave. Thanks to Doug, Mike and their crew of workers we now have the best roof in Ballard. I have dealt with many contractors over many years and I can sincerely say I have never had a better experience than I had with Doug and Mike of Golden Rule. With their guiding hand the project flowed smoothly to completion; the challenges never became headaches. Golden Rule Roofing and Construction earned not only my trust but also my respect and deep gratitude.

4.5 stars! The minute I met with Doug & Mike I knew this was the company I wanted to re-roof our home. They are so friendly, down-to-earth, straight-forward, and easy-going. The initial inspection was extremely detail oriented and thorough. When we mentioned we were also getting solar panels, they made sure to know which areas of the roof needed to be extra protected. Whenever we had any questions, they responded immediately. We always felt heard and understood. The roof was completed in 2 days - just 22 days after our very first meeting. Gutters & downspouts were installed the following week. We truly can't recommend this team enough.
