We paid a $ 350 deposit for a leaded window. Rich promised to install the window a couple of months later. The date came and went, and so did several more months. Rich gave several excuses, ranging from moving his studio to being sick. After several months of this and no signs that we would get our window, we asked for a refund. Again, that was promised but never received. We have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and we are contemplating filing a lawsuit as well. All in all, a terrible experience.

Beware of this business. If you go to the shop and read their website/facebook page, they seem legit, but it sure doesn't look that way based on my own experience. We ordered a stained glass window for our bathroom. We signed a contract which stated that the work would be done in 6-8 weeks. Rich offered a discount if we paid in full in advance, so we did. After 15 weeks had elapsed, and no work on the physical window had even begun, we started asking Rich to commit in writing to a finish date. After we started asking for commitments in writing, Rich/Glassique stopped responding to us entirely. So we made a complaint at small claims court and the court ordered Glassique to give a total refund plus expenses. Rich did not even show up to small claims court. As the judge at small claims court said, "Looks like you got ripped off on some stained glass!" Yep.
Response from Glassique Architectural Glass Design Studio
"The members gave us a standard one third deposit on a custom stained glass window for their bathroom. We did a number of preliminary drawings based on a picture they gave us. Several weeks later I visited their new home to determine final size requirements for both the stained glass window and a new vinyl window we were to install. The member asked me if there was any way a discount could be obtained. I said I could give them a 10% discount if they wanted to go ahead and pay the balance due on the invoice. In the last 4 years we have sold over 100 custom art glass panels. We have been paid before installation on 4 of them. About 5 weeks into the project the final art was finally agreed to. We did the final pattern and the members came to our shop to select their glass. Several of their glass choices were not stock items at the Distributors in this area. 2 of the choices were ordered from factories out of state. It was explained to the member that the glass might not arrive for several weeks. Soon thereafter I started getting threatening letters and finally when all the glass was in and the vinyl window was in I contacted them and they stopped communicating. We did all the art work. We obtained over $500.00 worth of glass. We paid almost $400.00 for the vinyl window. They demanded all their money back. They also were notified that we were moving our studio and the schedule would be moved back further. I made many calls to try to figure what to do. They would not comunicate. I am still willing to settle this situation. All I ask is to be given a chance to explain our side and come to some agreement that makes sense for both of us. They have resorted to a cyber attack on my business instead of honest negotiation. I dont know what else to do. So, if you read this please contact me and we can work something out. Richard Heath"

Glassique was the first shop where we went; if we were not satisfied with the initial interview, we were supposed to check the other shop. We went a saturday afternoon at Glassique; we met Rich, that was nice, expert and very good in explaining to us what he had to do repair the glass. He was very honest and direct, and we liked it about him. One week and the glass was ready, we were satisfied with the quality of work.
