+ -1 moreSteve had done a major project for us before which entailed removing a 34 year old hedge of barberries, replanting a new boxwood hedge, digging out and relandscaping the entire walkway and side yard and replacing old brick walkway with blue stone and huge blue stone plinths for steps. He is extremely hard working, a delight to work with, very knowledgable about plants, listens to every thing you say and has great ideas. He is so good, in fact, that friends of ours have hired him to do their landscaping! I cannot say enough good about Steve.
Description of Work: During our unusual severe winter had lost several old shrubs and draceanas that had turned into several feet high "palm trees on the east side of our house which is about 90 feet long. Steve dug out all the dead plants as well as all the roots in very hard clay soil. That entire bed was root bound and I couldn't even get a trowel into the soil to plant bulbs. Steve brought in soil amendments and worked it into beds after they were cleaned out. He re-landscaped the entire bed - relocating some shrubs and brought in about 20 new shrubs including a tree with an eye to growth pattern, asthetics, and sun and shade. He thoughtfully included a list of all new plants with their Latin and common names. He truly performed a work of art - the yard looks so beautiful that we continually get compliments.
