We got off to rough start. Eric had done some work for us in the past that was very good and we were confident heading into this job. We were anxious to get the deck and other outside projects done, but the weather forced us to start inside.
The first painter worked on the basement and for some reason, he did a really poor job. When I asked Eric to come and look at it, he was embarrassed at the quality of work and immediately called in another painter who took over and corrected all of the mistakes. It seemed like the first painter just wasn't into it and it showed. He seemed like a good guy but his work on our house was really bad.
Bring on the second painter and he was excellent. Made all of the mistakes right and then some. He took great care in meeting our original expectations. Once he had finished the interior, he moved outside and worked on the deck and the windows. Great job on finishing the deck. Looks like new. Also, the windows and foundation and wall all look great. 
The fir slide-fold door was a tough chore. Eric let me know up front that it might not turn out that great, and it didn't. But it wasn't his fault. They did all they could and didn't waste a bunch of time on it.
All in all, Eric is great to work with. Even though the job started off poorly, Eric and his guys made it good right away.
Very professional, on-time, clean and respectful.
Would hire them again... and will!

This company could not be more responsive and professional, and the quality of their work is excellent. I was referred to them by a friend, for whom they did a beautiful job on both the interior and exterior of his turn-of-the-century craftsman. When I contacted them, Eric Freeman, the owner, was easy to reach, arrived when he said he would, thoroughly discussed the job with me (and pointed out issues other bidders missed,) provided a very reasonable and detailed estimate, and got the job underway quickly. He then stayed in touch with me throughout the job and supervised the work closely. The two painters who worked on the job made the most of the intermittent good weather to get the job done quickly and well, and were pleasant to deal with. Prep work was very thorough--no shortcuts whatsoever. (I had no idea what beautiful siding was under all those old layers of paint and stain.) When I changed my mind about a color in the middle of the project, they responded flexibly, and the additional charges for these changes were completely reasonable. Now they're finished, and the house looks great! I would be happy to hire Freeman Painting again for other projects.
